wow. those are some pretty wild numbers, for your mods. there seem to be some incredibly fast gt's out there.

i did cams, shorties, 4.33's, custom tune, line lock, shifter, driveshaft, drag radials, control arms, relo brackets, and only managed an 8.29 at 85mph.

what rpm u launching at? powershifting? wow, hard to believe.

I've done 8.12 with the exact mods except for delete plates and UDP's, there is no reason he shouldn't be able to run that.

I call bullshit till I see a time slip.
your just mad cause hes only .4 off your best and hes n/a....must suck having a fast car and cant drive it.

ill believe those times all day with them mods. hell i run an 8.51 with intake, tune and o/r x with 3.55s on stock tires. add 4.10s theres a .1-.2 and drs about .3 so there you have an 8.0

congrats dude! dont even bother showing your timeslip cause theyll still call bullshit and ask for vids and blah blah blah. keep up the good work

It depends on the conditions of track ect too though. I ran a 8.0 The other night here in San Diego at Barona. It was 50 degrees out and I had a passenger in the car. On a warm day I know I would have broke the 8's with out a passenger and it warmer out. But I have damn near the same mods as he does. 4:10 GEARS, C&l CAI, 100SHOT OF NOS, BAMA CHIPS TUNE, HURST SHORT THROW, UNDERDRIVE PULLYS, AND M/T 26X10.5X15 DRAG RADIALS ON A STEEL RANGER WHEL WITH SPACER.
When they did ARMDROP out here and had the track prepped good I ran a 8.1 with a 1.8 60ft on BFG KDW 285x45x18 That was my best till th other night.
I am curious at what RPM your launching ect though. I launch about 4000 and then the NOS is set up WOT.

OK, so here are the numbers from yesterday. It's not an 8.12 but that is because I'm not running a 3650 anymore, I'm running a TR6060 which hurts 60's and 1/8 due to the steep 1st and 2nd.

60'---1.729
330'---5.322
1/8---8.289
MPH---83.64
1000---10.761
1/4---12.983
MPH---103.69

Temp was about 50 with a 12 MPH cross wind. My best 1/8 with the 3650 was 8.12 at 84. Best 1/4 was 12.76 at 106.

your just really jealous haha

no, not jealous. i just don't believe him. had you spent any money modding your car, and gone any faster than that 13.37, you wouldn't believe it either. i see a lot of stangs at the local track with more mods than that, and can't turn those kinds of times.

so i guess the assumption is that none of them can drive?

i make more horsepower, have a lower gear, powershift, leave fairly hard, good weather, only 600ft above sea level, and still be more than .2 behind his lightly modded mustang in a 1/8 mile?

whatever x 2

Cool down and remember how well these cars run in cool weather. the difference of 55 degrees and 75 degrees on my car is about .25

I have about the same mods and have run 8.06 and 8.09 back to back on a 55 degree day.

on a 75 degree day with the motor fairly cool My best is an 8.27.

Ran an 8.19 Friday night when it was about 69 degrees. THis is what it takes to get my car there though

LT headers
UDP's
p/s bypass belt
airaid intake
93 bama race tune
4.10's
LCA's
automatic
275/40 street tires

I know that "some" cars run faster than others from the factory, but I would be skepticle (not calling bs) of anyone saying they were running 8.10's with with much less than that, unless (a) they were a tuner and tuned the car on the raw edge of buring up the motor, (b) it was like 45 degrees and (c) the track runs down hill.........lol

case in point, I raced a guy that our cars were about identicle in mods and we ran to 130 and all I good put on him was 1 car length. That would have been a very close race in the 1/8 mile........I was sweating for a while.

i fully understand how weather effects performance. i was born at night, but it wasn't last night. i was bracket racing before most of you guys were born.

when i said good weather, i meant good racing weather. i'm fully convinced my car has a 12.70 in it or perhaps even a little better.....but that's running pretty hard, leaving hard, powershifting, at 6500, in good weather

and then we have all these guys running around here with barely any mods going way fast.

whatever x 3

I never said you didn't know what your were talking about, I was just sharing my experiences with you. I am on your side I know its easy to be a great guitar player when you play "air" guitar.

Yeah I guess I don't know how to drive my automatic.:handjob: I'd believe an 8.2 or 8.3 but 8.0 is BS with those mods he listed. Your math on adding a couple tenths with 4.10's and then a few with dr's is total bullshit. That's like trying to add the advertised hp for various mods and trying to claim that's what you have. I'm willing to bet that if you added 4.10's and DR's you'd get 3 maybe 4 tenths improvement if that.

I have never run on an 1/8 mile track, only 1/4 mile, and my best time with just a JLT & 93 Tune was a 13.137 and it said my 1/8 ET was 8.532 @ 85.13. Maybe it's true but shit.... I don't know much anyway lol. Just my two cents. Have fun guys!!

Looks like those UDP`s helped . Any better on the 60` ? it is Matt with the Grabber Orange 08 and 70 Duster. I am out the country and hope to get back to Denton at least once this Month.

Congrats on the ricer math! :handjob:

How would you not know how to drive an auto? :evillaugh:

sway bar removed

best time

60ft 1.68

had a hand full of 8.12 to 8.14 times with 1.71 and 1.72 60ft is there more in it?

I think its possible. The weather can play a big role but a consistent time? I doubt that. Lets see some timeslips :thumb:
