Sounds just like the Flowmaster clip on AM. Very similar muffler exterior and dual chamber design as well. $140 cheaper on the website. Nicer tips than the Flowmaster IMO.

With 90% of the complaints with performance sounding exhaust, interior drone is the issue after the purchase. IMO the true measurement of exhaust tone is inside the car under a load at 1800-2100 RPM. Exhaust companies serious about kicking the competition in the tail would take the time to measure factory exhaust in this real world condition along with an interior sound sample, and then do the same thing with their product and show the interior noise comparison in decibels which would help a buyer make a better decision the first time around. 90% of exhaust all sounds good (including these) compared to the stock rubber band whine of a Coyote GT.

A dB meter capable of doing this can be bought at Radio Shack for about $40.

I am afraid these are simply re-badged FLOWMASTERS with nicer tips......we'll see Friday or Saturday!!
If they don't drone I will be very happy......FLOWMASTERS sound great outside the car!!

Horrible interior drone is the only reason I ditched my original Magnaflows. Couldn't even hear the dang radio on the Interstate.

I ditched my Outlaws because of the horrible drone on the highway. Outside the car they sounded really nice and I got a lot of compliments on them. Inside, my head wanted to explode when driving at 75mph and 2k rpms.

Flowmasters and Magnaflows will always drone. Never driven a Mustang that didn't drone with those on.

That's for sure lol.. I'm considering either Borla Stingers or Roush Extremes to replace my Magnaflow axle backs, thanks to those annoying drone issues..

I did the same recently and went with FRPP Sport axleback. Very nice tone and no drone. The car is just a lot smoother overall now that it's not being rattled around by the dronemasters. They did sound awesome at WOT though

I have Magnaflow Streets now with absolutely no drone but kinda tame sounding out back!!:whistle1:

Are you also running resonators with the Magnaflow streets ? I run them with just the stock cats and mid X pipe.. Although they sound tame out back just as yours do, mine have terrible cabin drone to them!!

Just gotta drive faster and get out of the drone zone. Lol. My car is at like 2600-2700 rpms when cruising on the freeway at 75. I think my car used to drone around 2K rpms but I'm never driving in that rpm range anyways. I did mid-mount some Cherry Bombs to change the tone up a bit and I think it got rid of the drone. Like I said, I'm not sure because I'm never driving around at that rpm.

I switched from 3.31 to 3.73 which moved my highway cruising rpm up couple tpms and improved drone as well.

I have race cats....a 3" H-Pipe and 3" over axle pipes with no resonators.......no drone!!

I suspect your X-Pipe may be the culprit??:mexsmoke:
