Actually, you can get accurate audio from recording. You just need a proper mic. Maybe a bit of editing, but still need a proper sound system in the end to get an accurate representation. If you are getting muffled/low volume sound, it is probably cheap equipment, or you are too damn close to the exhaust.

It was probably too close......like I said VERY ATTENUATED!!

Makes no difference since they were simply too LOUD on my car!!

I thought loud was good? Mine used to be loud and obnoxious. Now she is just loud.

A different mid pipe has little, if any, effect on resonance (drone). It changes the power band due to increased scavenging at certain RPMs and the overall "raspiness" of the exhaust on and off throttle.

Now, if your different mid pipes also changed the existence or location of the catalytic converters, that could affect resonance.

They were kinda strange in that above 2500 RPM's they were PERFECT but at the lower RPM's (where you normally drive) they were like NO MUFFLERS AT ALL!!

Legato sent me a label and they are takin' them back for a full refund!!

Impressive customer service and fantastic build quality.....just way too loud for my OLD ears!!

Can't imagine they were that loud.

Tone and sound is preference but loudness can be measured for sure and doubt these were as loud as you claim them to be.

Especially when these are just essentially Flows rebadged or knock offs.

I've got Roush axle-backs with a Corsa X-pipe. Sounds freaking phenomenal. Very little interior noise, too.
