I could not get his plate or company name, it was filled with tree branches, the Log also messed up my front bumper and dented my oil pan.
I was dodging logs and traffic, it was pandalerium y'all!

BTW, Glad to see you here Don.. your my hero ! lol

I'm saving my money for this mod too. Summertime kinda sucks for mods because of all the other things that require cash.

I'm looking for a spare stocker too, I thinks I have the same reverberation as Mr. Clean and I am out of warranty due to all my mods and bean counter service writers. PM me with shipping to 85629.

Mine is installed now... It's a super easy install and it drives really smooth. I think it feels like it revs faster than before, but 8-10 hp isn't an easy difference to feel without a dyno. It's definetly a stouter/stronger piece than the oem one and really weighs a lot less.

Have any of you guys had problems with the one piece shaft hitting the tunnel towards the rear???
My car is lowered 2"+ and on a hard acceleration, the shaft will hit the top of the driveshaft tunnel and its starting to leave some marks...

The tech guy told me I needed to "massage" the tunnel with a hammer but I've beat it as hard as I can with a sledge and its not moving, its right on a a seam where all the metal meets so its pretty tough.

1st: do you have upgraded UCA, LCA's and an adjustable panhard rod?
The rear axle likes to rotate under hard accel due to the very soft nature of the rubber bushings in the OEM UCA and LCA's, according to the manufacturer of the Spydershaft, and that gets the DS closer t the tunnel. The adj PH bar would just ensure the DS is in the very middle of the tunnel, decreasing the probability that it can touch...

I have the adj. pan hard but no control arms yet.

That might help some but when I jack the car up and with the suspension loaded, the driveshaft is maybe an inch from the tunnel.....a big dip in the road and I can hear it hit!?

You shouldn't have any issues if you put adjustable upper and lower. You need to set the pinion angle after dropping your car. There are a couple people with lowered cars and the spyder shaft that don't have any issues. I plan on dropping my car this winter.

Like Kimmer, our gracious host, said above, when you install the adjustable UCA and the LCA's, make sure you reset the pinion angle, which will contribute to prevent the hitting you talk about, and ensure a longer life for th U joints on the DS.

So do I just load the suspension on jack stands and adjust the pinion angle to match the driveshaft or??

Thanks for all the help! I've got a local Mustang shop that is installing 3.73's in 2 weeks so maybe I'll let them do that at the same time....
being lowered that much really does require resetting the p/a most of that i explain in my website but it has to do with just messing with suspension geometry when lowering. the adjustable UCA and new LCA's will fix the problem. I never tell anyone to bang their car with a hammer to increase clearance thats just a BS way to fix the problem. glad to see you are getting that stuff fixed. BTW which one do you have? mine or someone elses?

Im straped for cash as well, I am saving for this exact driveshaft.

I bent my stocker while driving over a log a 70 mph and it wedged up under my car. landscaping truck that dropped it kept on going.
a lot of vibration now over 55 so I don't drive my car much these days.
I'm not far from you here in MD so if you want my stock one it's yours...hell it only has 500 miles on it :)

I would have loved to get yours for the price but didn't find it soon enough.....I bought a Coast Driveline aluminum shaft from Stangsuspension.com..... $600

Yeah, I agree..... Getting told that I had to "massage" my car with a sledge AFTER I already bought the shaft was a bunch of BS but hopefully it'll all be fixed by Saturday with the new suspension?!
