I'm not talking about head, rod, or main bolts, although it happens all of the time with ARP bolts and studs, but in my situation, I need new camshaft to sprocket bolts, and also cam cap bolts.
ARP sells what I need, but I only need 10 cam cap bolts, and the ARP kit is the entire 40, and costs 140ish, I have no problem buying new Ford TTY bolts, but I can almost certainly imagine I'm going to strike out with my local Ford dealer on availability, and/or price, but I will check.
My thoughts are just buy nice shouldered matching bolts from the hardware store and be done with it, and use the torque spec of the fastener if the local ford store fails me. Again, we're not talking high stress reciprocating assembly stuff here. thoughts.
