I'm considering removing my scoops and trunk wing but are thosed something people even buy used? I wouldn't even bother if I couldn't get anything for them. I'm just really focused on go-fast parts so I'm going to start selling off parts of my car that aren't necessary.

You can probably sell the side scoops, but quarter window louvers and factory deck spoilers (wings) are pretty hard to unload in the used market.

Yeah that's pretty much what I figured. Whenever I can sell here I'll post them up and just see what happens before I pull them off.

I buy everything I can used, within reason. Cosmetic parts especially, as long as I don't need to do extensive repairs to them. Paint's cheap. Labor's cheaper. I just wouldn't expect big numbers for resale value. It's luck if a buyer and seller share the same paint scheme. Otherwise places like AM sell cosmetic parts pre-painted. I look at cost of the part, cost of paint, how long will it take me vs price. I picked up my chin spoiler for $80, cost me another $20 to paint it. Got my GT500 wing from a take-off ebay seller for $50, was originally red, had to sand it down and another $20~$30 in paint. Used cosmetic parts are awesome at the right price, otherwise it's more favorable to buy new, less work and less flaws. If there's ever a fitment defect, it can be sent back.

You know one of my side scoops just came off. Your car isn't satin silver by chance?

Are the smaller factory lip spoilers from '10-14 in demand? I've got one just sitting in my basement.

I'd have to guess that they would be. IIRC, the V6 cars came with a different/smaller lip spoiler, no?

Also, I can imagine someone wanting to buy a new one to paint gloss black for the Boss 302 look without damaging their stock one.

Worth a shot, IMO.

What did you replace it with on your car?

When I bought my 05 years ago, I was looking for OEM hood and side scoops and couldn't find them. I would have paid more for them, but had to settle on aftermarket. Turns out, the paint didn't match and the company wouldn't take them back. Had to sell them with a disclaimer. Lost my ass.
Next go around, I'll be looking for OEM parts if needed. If you have room, put them up for sale and hang onto them until they do. Someone like me will come along. Just my 2 cents.
