New 2014 Mustang Owner with a Couple of Mod Questions

Hello all, new 2014 Mustang owner here with a couple of questions. My car is a coupe with the V6 Premium package and the Pony option group. I'm not a fan of the grille with the bright Pony surround and the bright horizontal bars, and would like to swap the grille for the standard grille (part no. DR3Z-8200-AB). My first question is, will this be a straight swap-out or is there any difference between these two grilles?

Also, I am interested in the GT/CS style rear spoiler at https://www.americanmuscle.com/painted-gtcs-spoiler-1013.html
however I would prefer not to drill additional holes in the trunk lid. Will this spoiler not be secured sufficiently with the four bolts that line up with the four existing factory spoiler holes?

Don't have your answers, but as a general rule, avoid American Muscle if you can.

You’re gonna have to drill for the GT/CS spoiler if you’re car isn’t one. If memory serves me correct. I’d stay away from AM especially when it comes to parts that are OEM. You’re best bet is to buy OEM and get it color matched at a body shop.

OK, first, the normal v6 grille will fit your car. Just take out what you have and put the other one in. It's too bad that you don't like what you have, the corral grille is really retro and pretty cool. In fact, if you get the surround, you can put a GT grille in there. I'm rocking the GT/CS grille myself (dr3z-8200-cc).
Second, you will have to have all 4 bolt holes for the GT/CS or GT/CS style spoiler. I bought an actual Ford OEM spoiler (which is different from the AM version) and had my mechanic's shop paint and install it. I just couldn't bring myself to drill 4 holes into my trunk and I really didn't want to mess that up.

Very helpful; thanks very much. Just a quick follow-up to ensure I understand the response re: the spoiler. As I understand it, there are 4 bolts in the factory spoiler on the car now. The GT/CS spoiler has 8 bolts; 4 of which line up with the holes currently in the trunk lid for the factory spoiler. Am I OK just using the 4 bolts that will line up with the holes currently in the trunk lid for the factory spoiler? If not, I would like to better understand why the other 4 bolts are needed - wouldn't it be sufficiently secure with the 4 bolts that line up with the original factory spoiler? I would prefer to preserve the ability to go back to the factory spoiler at some point.

No matter what, with securing that trunk spoiler, using 1/2 the "security" points it will vibrate (catches a ton of wind/turbulence). Trust the science - you want to use "all" mounting holes b/c the thing will eventually damage paint, be noisy and (God help you) snap off & kill someone on freeway.

OP; If you're not comfy w/ drilling & installing - take to a shop. Also, another option is to go to a salvage yard & look f/ GT truck w/ that spoiler - have it painted to match your car...just a thought.
