Very cool Vista Blue V6. My Sally is Vista Blue too. Tell us more about your car. What's the rear? Auto or Manual trans?

What mods have you done?

First off, I meant to put the "V6" in quotes as well. It's actually a converted V8 car. Started as a 5sp/V6 but swapped over to a turbo charged 4.6L 3V/5 speed Tremec 3650 combo. When we purchased the car, the previous owner had already put in a factory 3.31 geared 8.8" rear end and that's what's in it now. Has an ON3 turbo system making 6 lbs of boost. 440 RWHP/420 lbs/ft torque, Brenspeed Detroit boosted cams and a BBK twin 62mm throttle body. Upgraded the brakes to S550 4 piston calipers in the front and GT 500 13.8" in the back. Going to be putting in a BMR K member, beefier cooling and a new fuel system this spring.

Everyone thinks it's a V6 because of the badging and small fog lights. They're usually quite surprised when they see under the hood. Especially love to race stock Coyote cars. I can hang in there with a non modified Gen 3 Coyote. Would love to put a 10 speed auto behind this car!

Ah, very stealthy! That's great. We've only had Sally just a year last August and have basically just been enjoying this surprisingly fun little gem. Never been to the track with her, but may do so this year, but on the state roads and backroads in the Adirondacks she's shown impressive handling, decent acceleration coming out of the turns, and has returned just under 30 MPG on road trips. Sally is our first 'Stang, and she shares space with "Thunder", our behemoth 72 T-Bird a 429-4V, C6 Base car, and Janet, our "Lady-in-Red" 69 Javelin SST that I "adopted" long ago in April 1980.

As to this forum, it's been a great opportunity to read about other's cars, modifications, stories and we appreciate it, and the membership that contribute. Thanks, all!

It might have been cheaper to put V6 badges and small fogs on a GT! :)
Great build! I'm sure it's been rewarding.

Literally everything on the car is used. I'm a frugal Mustang owner and do all my work myself so no labor charges involved. I'd say I have about 10K in this car, including the cost of the car. For me it was cheaper to go V6 to V8 route, although that was never my intention when I bought the car. If I wasn't my own mechanic then hell yeah, it would've have been way cheaper to go V8 right away and just throw on V6 badging. :)

Those are some awesome rides. I'd love to build a Javelin someday; very good looking cars IMHO.

Kudos! And a heck of a lot more rewarding to show and discuss your upgrades vs. "yea, I added V6 badges and grill to a GT". Vid looks like a seriously credible build for $10K! :happythumbs: (p.s. I've actually always preferred the V6 Pony grill/fogs)
