I've got a 08' Bullitt, for a while now I can tell the clutch and/or TOB has been on it's way out. Grinds into gears if I don't go smooth enough like the clutch wasn't disengaging correctly. Shifting from 2-3 with a little speed, but still being gentle with the shift itself, all of a sudden can't get into gear. Managed it what felt like halfway nto 4th to limp around the corner home and now can't get it into any when the car is running. No issues if its shut off, and if I try to start the car in gear it won't let me. At the time of it breaking the clutch pedal returned slowly once and since then zero issues with pedal feel, so I feel less likely for it to be a slave issue or something else hydraulic. There was a slight whine at the time too like a TOB-esque sound, that also quit after a minute or two. Idk enough about transmissions to feel confident diagnosing it off symptoms only, and don't want to have to drop the trans multiple times if I can avoid it-- any ideas?

Welcome to the party....time for a complete clutch job . Time consuming job btw

i disagree,
with 4 , 6ton jack stands , and a trans jack ,
you disconcert the 02 sensors ,
drop the driveshaft .
unplug the one harness connector
remove all but 2 bolts to bellhousing,
place trans jack,
remove trans brace mount
secure trans to jack,
unbolt the two bellhousing bolts,
remove clutch line,
pull trans out ,,

and to change everything is soooo simple ..

i would recommend going to harbor freight and getting a hand vac to pump air out of the line when done,,

this saved me hours of hoping to get the clutch peddle feel back ..

and if you have a real lift , its even easier ,

time consuming way would be to pull the engine out to do it instead

and also ,
i cannot say enough how much a remote clutch line res has helped to make the clutch stay consistent, and my brakes not fade,,
this is the one i got, )
(yes it works with our years too , as the 2010 is the same engine..
ive had this on for some time now and love it )

@whitmanink I am sorry to tell you that I had huge difficulties to remove the transmission .
First issue were two out of four nuts at the manifold to downpipe - there were rusted so badly at the and one of the studs was stripped.. had to renew the stud.
The came the moment when we tried to remove the transmission.. no space to pull the transmission far enough backwards to free the input shaft form touching the PP..

I /we used a lift... and perhaps I / we made a mistake while trying to pull the tranny.

Also pulling the Pedals assembly was a hard job.. but even worse was the reinstall of the assembly with the new bench bleeded master cylinder.

Before I even crawl under the car I have to remove the supercharger and intake manifold so the engine can tilt back enough to allow the tranny to clear the tunnel. That means removing the hood is the first step in dropping the transmission for me. Must be why Ford instructions say to drop the K member to pull the tranny. No need to remove the supercharger for clearance and you don’t leave the engine dangling from the motor mounts.
