I had to replace an RCM in an early built 2010 mustang GT 4.6. Tried to do a PMI on the module originally. That didn't work. I then went forward with putting AS Built data in it. The module seems to be programmed, but there is a code I can't seem to get rid of. B00C5:13 passenger seat track position restraints sensor (circuit open). Went to trying to do the pinpoint test and could not find a sensor on the passenger side nor find a plug for that sensor. There is one present on the drivers side. Looking at the wiring diagram, It shows that the passenger side sensor was added to the later built 2010's. I doubled checked the part number by the VIN to make sure we got the right RCM but I'm not ruling that out quite yet. I can probably change the data in the RCM to match what the car has but don't have that info to do so. Can someone shine some light on this? If so, where do I go from here? Please and Thank You in advance!

VIN 1ZVBP8CH9A5105562
Original RCM #AR33-14B321-AF
New RCM #AR33-14B321-CB

I have an early 2010 GT and it most definitely has a harness on the passenger side. There are two plug in connectors under the seat. One for the side airbags and the other for the sensors in the seat and seat frame.

Here is a shot of the passenger floor with the seat removed when I installed a roll bar and different seats. You can see the two plugs and harness. The yellow one is for airbags.

I didn't snag a picture of the seat track but I looked for the track position sensor on the passenger side and it was not on there compared to the drivers side. I found the drivers side sensor pretty easily. Plus the wire colors did not match any of the 2 wire plugs. Here is the diagram and description I was going by. My guess is they added more airbags and needed more data to control them?

I do remember removing the bladder from the passenger seat lower cushion and slipping it into the new seat. That allowed the airbag system to arm when a passenger is in the seat. The new seats do not side airbags so I installed resisters in the yellow plugs to fool the system. I don’t remember a proximity switch on the passenger side. The one on the drivers seat I just zip-tied to the seat rail.

This one has the "bladder" you are referring to but not a position sensor. Only thing I can think of at the moment is to try and find another early built 2010 or maybe a 2009 VIN and try to use that as built data. I would think if it was the wrong RCM I would have an invalid part code or more codes than just a simple seat track position code. This is for a customer, so I am trying my best to it "the right way". (no air bag light and no safety concerns)
