I have now heard of a 10 making 300+rwhp with an x-pipe and no tune.
I have also seen a vid of a 10 with minor bolt ons and slicks running low 12s @110mph with no tune. Has Ford under rated these new stangs???

Chevy did this with the last F-body Camaro. They were rated at 315 hp, and some would hit 320+rwhp.

i dont think they are underrated. all the ones i have seen but down around 280rwhp stock...

i think the guy with the 305rwhp with an xpipe got the John Force editioin..

and the guy running low 12s with slicks isnt that hard to belive...a bone stock 05-09 can run a 13.4 with a good driver....at a couple bolt ons and slicks and your in the high/mid 12s. then had the extra 15 horses from the gets you to mid 12s.

id say they might be mildly underrated, or the "chassis upgrades" they did that all the magazines seem to love actually are worth it

I've seens numerous 2010's make anywhere from 267rwhp - 275rwhp STOCK.

That's not just at our shop. That's the perks of having a good friendly working relationship with all the other shops in the south florida area. We can all talk and exchange info. I've NEVER heard or seen a 2010 making over 300RWHP STOCK

Can someone explain what exactly was changed from 2009 to 2010 engine wise besides the bump to 6,500 rpm and a louder inlet elbow?

Has anyone looked at Ford's tune that comes with it and see how it compares to last years?

So Ford did not change anything to allow for the 500rpm increase in redline? If they didn't change anything, why wasn't 05-09 limiter set at 6500?

Yes they did. The Bullitt motor had a different crank damper, and of course the tune was enhanced to allow for premium fuel.

Maybe Ford refined the tuning over the years since the 2005 model year. Both my '08 GT's with the same PCM code dynoed on the high end for a stock GT. Also my current 08 GT dynoed much better than my friends' 2005 and 2006 Mustang GT's did stock on the same dyno. They were around 265 HP and my '08 GT was a hair under 280 HP.

THe 2010 with the CAI and tuning for the CAI doesn't seem like it would be unreasonable to get about 300 HP at the wheels with minimal mods if my 2008 did back to back 279.9 HP and 279.5 HP dyno pulls.
