i wouldn't do eather it has almost nothing to do with your start as to what you will run at the mile

hell if i had to do it again i would get some smaller tires to get more gear so i didn't run 4th out as far

and also there is no traction at the starting line with or with out drag tires

what did you run in the mile? i have paxton 2200, kw suspension, etc etc...

I have 4:10 gears, but going back to 3.55 or 3.73 for road racing..

well i am n/a so i was only able to get to 150.913

you may get like mid 150's but that is about it you will have to run 4th out and never shift to 5th gear so with my 3.55's i was at like 7k going through the traps

my buddie with a gt500 could only do 158 bone stock so you may hit 160 but it is doubt ful because he has 5th gear that still accelerates which you do not have

if you search for texas mile there should be a thread by me about what all i did but if you want more detailed info on what all happens let me know and i can tell you im more than happy to and i will be out there in march watching i dont think i will race agian(i already got my shirt) but i dont think slicks would help you enough for what they will cost. the price to race sat and sun was like 250...and like 30 bucks worth of tape

from what i saw it doesn't make a difference until you are up in the 180+ range that you need to do every little thing you can
