If you don't mind me asking, what was wrong with the blower?

Yeah I'm leaning more on either the Whipple or the Roush for now. I'm going to wait a couple of months before making a final decision. Just gonna wait and see what else may be offered. I'm hoping for a price drop on the current 3V blowers now that the 2011 GT 5.0 is coming soon. :highfive:

Keep checking the Vendor Specials. That is where I saw the deals after Thanksgiving. Very good deals.

Mike @ Whipple said the discharge plate was leaking. Car kept dropping off on the dyno and when I had my foot in it. Should be back home this week. Very fast turn around from Whipple for me on this issue. You cant beat the customer service from Whipple.

Whipple seems to be having a quality control problem lately. I've heard of a lot of stuff not being flat and causing vacuum leaks and problems.

No problems here with the Whipple, no matter what system you go with they are all real close to the same weight and you will be happy with any of them. They all make great power, I must say the Whipple was very easy to install, I can't speak for the other systems.

The TVS is no heavier than the Whipple. All of them are within lbs.

I agree wholeheartedly. The weight differences will probably be insignificant between the systems.

I hadn't heard that, will have to keep an eye out for that. Just like weight however, all manufacturers have issues of some sort and there will always be a possibility of problems with anything mechanical. The old saying that "If it has tits or wheels, sooner or later you'll have problems with them" comes to mind. That said, the difference is how each company deals with them, before/during the production of the parts/kit and more importantly, after the sale. In that respect, the folks at whipple have been excellent. I can't speak to problems of the other manufacturers as I have no first hand experience with them.

Other than the belt problem that I probably made worse with my install of an aluminum flywheel, the Whipple H.O. is one of the best systems I've ever installed as far as fit, finish and function. Between the excellent instructions and the completeness of the kit, I found the installation easy, especially for how complex the kit is. I know there are other kits that are just as effective at making HP, if not more so, but for the guy that wants to do the install themselves, Whipple worked very well for me.

Just because it's not on the fucking interweb doesn't mean shit. I'm not going to get anyone in trouble but you would be fucking surprised at quality control since Whipple started making their own shit. By the way, it's not on the interweb because the customers don't even know what happened. I don't think the shop is going to come out and talk bad about one of their suppliers. I wouldn't doubt the problem is fixed by now though.

I can't complain about the Whipple kit, just don't get the Non-IC version of any kit.. it's not worth it.
