Tommy, do these suckers hook well? If so, these might be my next tire. My current Nitto 555s are getting pretty worn.

What she said. It's about time for me to be in the market for new DRs for the street as well.

Not going to do me much good for the track since I change wheels for track use.

I don't... hehehe, I also have a new set of MTs waiting in the garage for when the current set is bald, which should not be much longer.... :thumb2:

they have a zero wear rating which means they are more geared for the track than street whereas the 555r's were a DR with street use. These should hook better but its all in he compound. someone needs to be the guinea pig

They just did a magazine test on them with good results. From my impression of them in person to the NT555r's they are night and day. They sweet. I will get my hands on a set soon enough. The compound is awesome.

I've had 1.54 60fts on NT555r's in my FS car. Same car has only been 1.51's on BFG's. And that was with no testing compared to 2 years of runs on bfg's. And the compound on the new tire is WAY better than the 555r's

I believe I saw this article last week, either in MMFF or 5.0. I will have to check it out when I get home. Do you guys mount and balance tires at your shop? Hell, I am right down the road.........

I wonder when they're going to start making 19's.

285/40/18 is 27.09" tall. That's damn near stock height. I like that. Rim size recommendations is 9.5-(10.0) -11.00. Wonder how squished they would be if I get them on my 9" rims....

*edit* changed the 48 to an 18 in the tire size....doh

It would give you a sidewall bulge like a 315/35/17 on a 9" rim
