I could cast my own design cheaper than you could modify one to fit. It would be damn near impossible. It's not the same engine by a long shot.

I thought thats what I just said. Although in a lot more words. If you had class rules requiring you to use a production based head it could be done.
That's the same reason the I-6 ended up with a Cleveland Based Head.

PS The toughest thing to fix (bore centers) is still the same.

Sorry Gene, you win.. LOL! But, you could buy a new 5.0L cheaper than you could adapt the heads, I have watched this thread go on and on and on......

:handjob:

PS... I'm also a machinist.

I'd think simply bolting on a set of GT500 heads would be more than adequate for the scenerio suggested.

Like everyone who has a brain is saying, the new heads will NOT work on the older blocks. But I'd sure like to see someone piss their money away trying.

Oh, that's my bad.. I thought thaey were still going on and on about the new 5.0L heads interchanagibility.. The other 4V/3V/2V swaps are a non-issue, why is there even a discussion about that. There is a factory or aftermarket intake available to fit almost everything, and most are available with an internal intercooler. I saw where SD mentioned the Sullivan intake, definately a nice piece.
