Are you going to keep the BMR upper control arm mount or are you going to use the race craft piece?

I may be re vamping the rear suspension---I found what may be a crack on one of the lower LCAs (they are BMR solid adjustables). I am looking at the racecraft piece, it looks pretty stout.

My money says you will be going to a 4-link anyway within 2 weeks of testing the car at the track.

I love your build, but I think going with a 3 link with that motor was a waste of time and money - sorry.

I strongly believe you are never going to run what you expect to run on that 3 link and here's why...

I think if you leave hard enough to run your number, you are going to blow off from the line and not hook and you are going to have to leave very soft and slowly work in the power which is also not going to get you your number.

That motor set-up needs bigger tires and a 4 link IMO.

Yep, direct from the Skinny Kid Race Car website. I am getting it back tomorrow painted.

As far as the 3 link, you may be right--but I didn't spend any money or time on it as it was existing. Time will tell if a 4 link will be needed or if I can use a larger tire, etc. There are some very quick cars out there using stock style suspensions. Also remember, depending on the engine dyno and torque numbers, I may be using a PG, which has a 1.80 first gear (vs a 2.48 or 2.74 first of other 3 spd transmissions).

Yeah he was happy with it and has used your cranks before with the ESP Armor process.

Ok, now its time for the part I hate ..... electrical wiring.


First I removed all of the wiring in the car. Guess how much this weighs? Oh, and that does NOT include the PCM, but does include the two fuse boxes (one in engine compartment, one under passenger side dash).

I removed the dash and dash bar, along with the steering and all of the heater / a/c stuff under the dash.

Now, to get ready for the shop which will be installing the cage, I put the dash bar back in, then I just set the actual dashboard in place. It looks like there is plenty of room now for that crossbar as long as it is the right height.

Here is the hole for the hood scoop. The scoop and wing is painted now, just didn't have time to put the scoop and wing on today, but they look good.

Damn Paul... never did tell us how much all the wiring weighs, I'd guess upwards of 40 lbs or so, for everything?

All of the wiring came to 44 lbs. But this does not include the PCM, so I am going to call it an even 50lbs of electrical crap.

The heater / a/c stuff behind the dash wasn't as heavy as I thought, only came out to roughly 20lbs. SO it looks like I took out 70lbs today.
