More tire clearance, plus by positioning the coilovers there, I can keep the springs pretty close to the stock location vs the coilovers I ran a couple years ago which moved the springs to the outside in the wheel well.

I was going to mini tub the car, but oddly enough once the shock is out of the way, and the spring tunnel is trimmed, the inside of the tire would end up hitting the LCA before the minitub made any difference. Since I wanted to keep the LCA in the stock location, I decided not to minitub the car. I still should be able to easily fit a 12 wide slick while dropping the car over the tire.

Coming along great Paul. Gonna be done soon?? Just pulled the old motor out of the corner, and did a parts inventory. Tired of playing with the Dodges and Chevys, Putting Big Black back together. Should be up and going in 2 weeks or so. Looking forward to lining up next to you. Could you forward me the links for the lexan windows. I am breaking out the plasma, this bitch is officially on a diet BY FORCE. Adam

Car will be ready to pick up next Wednesday---here is some more progress on the cage. I also have sub frame connectors in , which I didn't take a picture of. All that is left is the door bars and the dash bar.

Got a killer deal for a SFI Bellhousing for a PG / ATI SFI Flexplate for the BBF today. I am not going to get the actual trans and converter though until the engine gets dyno'd.

Well after only 10 days I picked up my car with the 12 point cage done. I also had them move the shocks (coilovers) inboard. Also had the BMR subframe connectors welded in. The cage was certified to 8.50 today by NHRA---

Going to paint the bar, then put together the interior this weekend and post up some pics on Sunday.

thats a sick car man keep us updated, have you made any passes yet? before the cage and everything?

Best pass was a 10.138 @ 133 mph with the 281cid and a 2.3 whipple @ 18 psi. That was at 604 rwhp.

For the 572 I am hoping for 900 engine hp N/A, and around 1100 hp with a single plate N20 system.
