I put the firewall kit in (got from S&W race cars) and painted the roll cage black yesterday. I put back together all of the interior trim, carpet, and dash yesterday to. All that is left today is to re-mount the seat and clean the entire interior with some simple green.

You can see in this picture where my rear shocks will be relocated to. I will be using QA1 coilovers.

Damn Paul... this thing is moving along nicely. And I like that you are really thinking it through and doing it the way you want. I can't wait to get my ass kicked... well, I can wait, but that is besides the point.

Finally got the interior done today. What a PITA! I wanted to keep all of the trim pieces so the interior looked as stock as possible, but because of the cage, a lot of pieces were not fitting without some trimming.

Finally got it done today!

Yep, I exceeded the budget on a few items, but then I thought just do it right the first time. The belt drive vs the chain was one example.

That's a little more power... Sub 9s in the works?

I am hoping for 9.20s on the motor, then whatever on a 200 shot single plate system--hopefully around 8.5Xs.

Hopefully it will be out in September.

Looks awesome Paul, I'm sure your excited to get it back on the track soon.

I can't wait, its getting close now I can taste it. All that is left is to dyno the motor, order the trans, and set up the motor and trans with some custom crossmembers, then driveshaft and wire the thing up and I am done.

Also I forgot to mention, the secondary bars coming off of the main hoop go through the stock floor and are tied in to a bar underneath the car which connects to each of the BMR subframes. We added the BMR subframes to, so the frame is tied together underneath to.

I dont think you'll have a problem running in 8's especially with that 200 shot on there. It will be interesting to see how that car performs N/A, running around the 9.2x mark would be badass.

Only certified to 8.50????? WTF

Would still need a few more bars to meet 25.5 specs.

looks very nice :thumb:

Don't worry, I still will run the number to kick Ken's ass. So I get thrown off the track once.......it will be worth it.

Ken's car has already ran a 9.81 @ 4000+lbs (with driver) so if he can get the car down to 3500lbs with driver it would be a good race. I think Ken was able to get another 80rwhp to from the KB now that he has a dedicated belt drive for it.

Only certified to 8.50????? WTF

I'll be there with the camera.

And no--I don't want any of the El Camino. Have you ran any faster then the 8.05 @ 165 I saw last year?

went 8.01@170 best with the old setup. The Elco has been rebuilt with a 615 and a Pro Charger on alcohol. Mike Moran built the combo. Should be in the 2800 hp range.Looking to run low 6's. I let you leave on the first light if you want:asskiss3:

Give me a 1.5 second head start, then go. You should be blowing past me right at the 1/8th mile mark---that would make a sweet video with the in car camera.
