Yesterday we went to the track and I got back in the 9s. After Eric Brooks revised the tune down low to get the turbo pushing through the converter it is able to leave at 3500 to 4200 or ?. I had the 2 step on 3500.
The first run I forgot to turn the boost controller on and ran at 9psi.
10.79 @ 126
The second run I couldnt get on the 2 step, I must of activated it higher that 2500 so it wouldnt activate at 3500 and shot up to 4200 and I left and the car spun badly and I let out and got back in it and went 10.08 @139 with a 1.69 60'. That was at 20psi.
The last run Everything worked great except the spinning. 9.89 @ 140 with a 1.56 60' spinning again ( not as bad) and at 20psi.
They asked my friend that was in the burnout if I was legal and he said yes. Then they told him to tell me to put my gloves and neck brace on. Gonna be time to upgrade to a cage now and get legal. I wonder what it would of been like if I didnt spin and let out?

Congrats Paul for making your first 9 second pass with the new turbo combo last night. You worked really hard to make it happen. Im glad we could be a small part in helping you get there. Thanks to Eric Brooks too for his help as well. Good stuff and this is just the begining.

P.S. That was a great pass we had going in the other lane too! Too bad my boost tube blew off going into third :( Turbo Lightning vs turbo mustang side by side it was great!

Shit, small part. You guys built the car and we all had our hands into it!!!!!!!! It couldnt of been done without you. You remember where the car was the winter and what we done to get it right.

We will get another race in a week at the rental. LOL

I like the fact that you footbraked that lightning and got it out of the hole with a 1.7 and went 6.8 at the 8th in a 1st Gen lightning. It would of been a mid 10 second pass if the boost tube stayed on. Glad you went last night so you found the bugs now instead of next week at the rental.

It figures that was the one run I didn't see him do last night. The car is definately hauling ass and I'm sure it's still got some more in it.

Way to go!

P.S.: I figured out the issue with the WOTBOX 2-step, I had to turn off the lockout rpm setting. I'm guessing that when I rolled the car to light the 2nd bulb the rpms were hanging just a little too high and the 2-step wouldn't activate. Figures it took me until my last run to get it to work.

They were some great runs the car was hauling ass! There was a great 05+ showing there last night . The air was nice and cool wish there were a few less oil downs.

Did you happen to see the wild ride of the sick turbo quick 8 car?

He was actually the third car that ran after me, so I was on the return lane watching the entire ride. When he hit the timing box I was directly next to him.

I was in the pits when he came back and it looked as if there was a ton of fluid leaking right around the middle of the car on the passenger side which would have caused the loss of traction. Great driving keeping it out of the wall.

Hey whats up Randy? I wont upgrading the cage anytime soon. I will be getting the hot protective clothing soon though.
I am still running Lens trans. Its been good, besides the first converter and the output shaft that broke the first week I had the trans.
Im going to be putting a slick on it this week and we have a rental next week where I will be putting it at 25+ psi. I am running a little lean at times. It bounces all around from 11.2 to 12.0 and back to 11.0 from the unstable fuel pressure. I think it should be ok, its not like there is tons of overlap in the cam to make much a big difference. As long as it stays on the fat side more than the lean side it.
