anyone kno a good place to install a trans cooler? and a estimated cost? in the chicago area?

Add a PA Deep pan for the additional fluid capacity (and a dip stick) and you should be fine.

I have a PI converter and just went with the suggestion below. You add 33% more fluid to help distribute the heat. With the PA pan you have 4 gallons of fluid in there. That's a shitload.



Add a PA Deep pan for the additional fluid capacity (and a dip stick) and you should be fine.


^Best solution for a mild tranny build. The stock cooler is quite large actually.

Long term plan is for the deep pan. I got a great deal on a Derale hypercool with fan and thermostat and since I already have it, why not use it?
