If you don't want to educate yourself then don't expect someone to do it for you.

...really shows your lack of research into motor oils. I am not saying that the Motorcraft semi-synthetic is a bad oil and should never be used but it is certainly not superior and is not pointless to run a superior oil. That belief is just a display of ignorance.

Once again, a disapointment of a post. You tell me I'm "wrong". I ask you to elaborate. You tell ME to google it. The information coming from you is astounding.

I never said the Motorcraft oil was superior. I know all about the Motorcraft oil, I sell it all day everyday. I've seen all the comparisons and tests and what FORD goes through when choosing an oil, and all their stringent testing that goes into their oil. That is where all my confidence in the Ford oil comes from. Because I get to see it first hand. I run ALL my own cars on Motorcraft oil because it does everything I need it to. I've torn apart numerous modular engines with varying miles on them and have found zero bearing wear. This further backs my opinion that the Motorcraft oil does what it's supposed to. So again, yes, there is "better" oil, but unless it gives out handjobs or something else while you run it, there's no point in upgrading.

Regarding my experience...

11 sec. 1985 Mustang Coupe N/A 302
12 sec. 1990 Mustang Coupe N/A 302
1998 Ford Ranger w/427K miles with no major engine work
Various ATV and motorcross engine builds:
ATC 200x, ATC 350x, ATC 250R, TRX 250R, YZ250, CR250, KX80, PW80

Over the years, for conventional oil I use Castrol GTX. Synthetics are Mobil 1 and Amsoil.

Synthetic Oil or Ford SemiSynthetic ??

Ford SemiSynthetic or regular dino until it is broken in good (I waited 15,000 miles) and then Mobil 1 5W-20. BTW, I left my factory oil in mine for 3K before I touched it. Since I only drive mine about 5000 miles a year, that's the interval. 5K or 1 year; whichever comes first!
