4 sets of delete plates....

I got to thinking with all of the worries expressed on here about the quality so I decided to go over mine more thoroughly. I originally just looked at the welds and they look good so I put them away since I knew I wouldn't be on the dyno until after Dragging Rights. I took some pictures of the damage that I see on my plates. One of the holes has a piece completely gone. What it looks like is it melted and the aluminum from the chipped area melted into where the gasket goes. There are also dings all over the plates. I took a pic of the most obvious area. Some of the holes have been ported so heavily that ports are off by quite a bit. The side walls almost look paper thin in some areas. To be honest I have no idea if that really matters on the plates. I put mine on a flat surface and they wobble severely. The middle portion of the plates are the thickest but the ends are off by a huge amount. I did not put the calipers on them yet, but I would say over .100 easily. These plates work like a see saw on a flat surface. I should have checked this earlier but these plates are junk. Since he isn't replying I'll go straight to the paypal claim. I'm done dealing with this situation.

Just FYI his paypal is no longer verified which most likely means he deleted his bank account.

Im having a buddy make me a lamp w/ my old stock cam & converter out of my old 5.7 hemi truck so maybe he can find a way to incorporate the plates in also so it wont be a total wast of 70 bucks but must of all 3 months of my time.

Awh, snap.. Wonder if it may have something to do with the fact that he was using his lady friend's PayPal account? Regardless, fuck that noise.

I am not seeing good things and hate that its coming to this, but when i get home tonight, paypal claim is being submitted.

The crappy thing is when this listing first came up I asked if anyone can vouch for this guy and quickly I got a response, so I jumped on these since there were only "4" to sell. I cant recall who that was, but he is in the first page of this thread and others have done the same thing so I dont understand.

I hope this guy is ok and has the money to refund everyone, otherwise this could get really nasty. I dont see that he has logged on since last Thursday.....

EDIT:
Bunch of posts happened while I was writing this, so It seems this guy did a dump and run....

I almost ordered a set in the start but then i started to see how you guys where waiting so i just went ahead and bought steeda's. It's not rite that someone would do this to people who are all here with the same interest, and here to help each other.

You may be thinking of me. I ordered a set from him, a few days passed and I needed them to get installed that weekend, so I sent him some extra cash to overnight them to me. Got them Saturday morning and put them on, didn't notice any issues at all with the quality, and I haven't had any problems since the installation.

I'd like to apologize for vouching for Chris like I did. Regardless of how credible he may have seemed to me, I was dead wrong. This is absolute bullshit, no matter the circumstances.

Wow, mine had a few dings but I didn't notice any chunks missing like yours do. I'll take a 3rd look at mine tonight.

I called paypal to reopen the original case again. Since I already closed the non-receipt claim I was unable to open a new dispute for the same transaction online. Paypal opened a new case for it over the phone and advised me that they would give the seller ample time to provide a response or refund. He said if they are damaged then I'll get a refund regardless of deleting his bank information or not. They will provide me with an address to send them back to and once I verify I send them back I'll get a refund. We'll see how it works out and I'll keep the thread updated once I know more.
