    Mouse invasion

Be sure to check your air filter too. They can get in there easy and they love to chew those things up. Don't drive the car with a chewed up air filter.

Alarm system recommendation for an 06 GT..

Hello, I want to put an alarm on my early model S197. I want something reliable and decently easy to install. Can anyone recommend a model/brand that has worked well in their S197?

Suspension Mods - 06 Mustang GT

Glad to hear they have held up well after 116k. I still have my stockers and I have no intentions of putting aftermarket on. I like a smooth ride.

You are still running the stock struts and shocks in the back?

Next Generation Ford Mustang Could Grow to Match the Dodge Challenger

Before I got my S197, I really really wanted a Camaro. Then I drove one. You can't see out of them. I mean it's crazy how bad the visiblity is. The Camaro loyalists love it because it's true to the old design. I think GM would sell a lot more Camaros if you could see out of the damn...

Next Generation Ford Mustang Could Grow to Match the Dodge Challenger

I'm thinking we'll see a co-developed V8, Ford and GM, kind of like they did with the 10-speed auto. That might give us another decade or so of V8... Your right it is on the way out and will eventually be unsustainable.

Thinking about an 05-09 GT to daily...

I daily my automatic '06 GT all summer. It's high geared, barely doing 2000 rpm at 70 mph. Gets around 25 on the highway. I think your on the right track. Depending on how much bumper to bumper traffic your dealing with in your commute, I would choose an automatic trans over an '09.

    Odd charging issue. Help please.

Do you know the part number of the Denso plug and play replacement? I am also interested in this.

    Font suspension

Did the poly bushings make it ride less smooth? Can you feel more vibration?

    stalls at stop light

So it was the tune? Glad you figured it out. I was going to wild guess this and say fuel filter. It's easy to miss, as newer cars don't have them. I perfer to replace mine every 40k.

2006 GT 8.8" rear diff fluid capacity

The owners manual is of laughable quality on this car..it feels like an old Archie and Jughead comic. But I do agree that it has much useful info and is surprisingly well written. I looked in my Chilton's service manual, it also says to use 75W-140. I've chosen Redline synthetic, as it seems...

2006 GT 8.8" rear diff fluid capacity

Checked mine and your right. The manual does call for the heavy gear lube... That's funny, I would have thought 75w-90 would have worked fine for it....

2006 GT 8.8" rear diff fluid capacity

I have a 2006 GT with the stock rear end. The cover was leaking and it was replaced by the previous owner with an aftermarket cover that has heat sink fins, a drain plug, and a fill plug. (I think this is a Ford part..previous owner said it's what comes on the Shelbys of that year) I am going...
