Momo Steering Wheel & Hub in ‘08

Thanks XJCasper, I’ve searched YT pretty hard…only vid I found that was close is TruckandRoll guy with a Momo wheel on an NRG q/r hub, but he didn’t connect the horn. He removed the clockspring & plugged two resistors into the 8-9 & 1-2 slots in the column plug that goes into the clockspring. He...

Ford Racing strut set up for 2008 Bullitt

I have the full FRPP package, struts, lowered springs, sway bars, etc that came stock in my ‘08 Shelby & in the Shelby ‘07-08 builds..it’s very good, was designed for track & street & the car feels very planted, but I’m in CA. where roads tend to bd less bumpy. It’s on the firmer & harder side...

S197 to S550 Steering Wheel Swap - The Complete Edition - Video Series

Howdy Slonison, I’m hoping you may be able to offer some wisdom..I’m going to try to install a Momo Steering Wheel & Hub in my '08 Shelby and still retain the (Momo) horn, & keep the airbag warning light off. I can do without cruise control & self canceling signals, but I can’t find anything...

Momo Steering Wheel & Hub in ‘08

Anyone install a Momo hub & Steering Wheel (or NRG, Sparco, etc) in an ‘05-‘09 and retain the (Momo) horn, & keep the airbag light off? I can do without cruise control & self canceling signals in my ‘08, but I’ve searched for hours & seen nothing definitive about what airbag resistors plug in...

PCV Valve Part Number??? 2008 GT

And not all catch cans are created equal in how much oil vapor they trap…there was a great thread in the c6 z06 forums showing a significant captured oil volume btw 10 different catch cans.

What have you done to your mustang today?

I had my fill of bonkers fast, track days, etc…& hadn’t tried the s197 platform yet..this Shelby is so beautifully analog..5spd, live axle, bolt-action hurst, etc & that glorious 3 valve howl..I’m still surprised how much I look forward to driving it. But if you’ve never owned a c6 z06 treat...

What have you done to your mustang today?

Installed an Elite Engineering catch can i had from my c6 z06..amazingly the 1/4” hole in the strut housing was located perfect to attach its billet mount arm.

    Should I get a tune?

OP, I can’t offer any input as to why, (ecu learning/adjusting to your mods?) but imho if you’ve matched those mods that leaned it out with more fuel/ign. timing that’s good. It’d also be good if you can find a dyno shop to run it & see your A/F ratios are even in the right range.

What have you done to your mustang today?

SRP pedals install on my '08 Shelby went great..but not super easy either. I bought them from LMR & got good advice to remove the entire gas pedal first (3, 10mm nuts & unplug the connector), use masking tape on the brake & clutch to mark holes & get their positions just right..all @ 1/8" in...

    Steering wheel wrap

I'm out of luck on Mewant making me an all black leather one but without any 10 & 2 o'clock seams, & I'd gladly swap out a Bullit or GT500 wheel if I found one inexpensive enough. I'd like to install a Momo Prototipo or similar NRG, but they seem like far too much hassle with the airbag...

    Steering wheel wrap

Just seeing this reply...& no, your's looks excellent, very nice work, & much tighter/flush seams than a customer pic I'd seen with bulky seams. I'll reach out to Mewant to see if they could make me an all black leather one without any 10 & 2 o'clock seams.

Want to know engine oil temps

That SG2 looks good too..I’ll contact them about EOT (inferred) PIDs. I had a couple C6 Z06’s & their oil took far too long to even get close to 170-180* due to their 22”x6” front oil coolers. I want to ensure this 4.6 oil gets properly warm.
