So I made a decision to just use black magic to bring out the natural black on the splitter.

This might sound too simple but it works. Roll the window all the way down and keep holding the switch down for 2-3 seconds after it goes down. Then roll it all the way up and hood the switch up for 2-3 seconds. This should reset it.
