2005 Mustang GT handling upgrade advice

Thanks for the feedback Terry. I now have camber plates as I had read your previous post about the savings in tire wear and figured it was money well spent. Brembo 4 piston brakes are next on my list of purchases and tires/wheels are on the list for 2020 but figured I might as well use up my...

2005 Mustang GT handling upgrade advice

First track night in the books and great advice from this group. Indeed the StopTech pads were the weak link in the cars performance (not including the novice driver) and they were not very confidence inspiring. I did not have to cut my track time short but even with 3" cooling ducts they could...

Help me choose a suspension setup

Norm...you are a saint. I read the entire thread a second time and I am convinced that "some men you just can't reach" :)

Lower control arm relocation bracket install

Thank you both for the feedback. I do have an adjustable PHB as well so the axle is centered side to side. I will go ahead and shift the axle forward to get it back to the original position.

Lower control arm relocation bracket install

I installed BMR rear lower control arm relocation brackets over the holiday break and the install went relatively smooth. I have Steeda Sport springs installed so roughly 1.25" drop in the rear. I placed the lower control arm in the uppermost position in the new brackets and this gives about a...

2005 Mustang GT handling upgrade advice

I really appreciate you guys taking the time to provide such detailed feedback. The brake rotors and pads are relatively new while the cooling ducts are in process of being added. I am sure that the first time I see significant brake fade that causes me to cut a track day short I will quickly...

2005 Mustang GT handling upgrade advice

Great feedback - thanks for the thoughts on the brake set up, camber, breathers, and track time. I have used the track addict app for lap times and a separate OBD II data logging system for gathering data (speed, rpm, coolant temp, etc) with good success but I will look into the AiM Solo system.

2005 Mustang GT handling upgrade advice

Thanks for the feedback. I will look into the sway bar and cross brace. I do have a front strut brace but didn't list it as I have heard that the front is already pretty stiff even without the brace. I haven't seen too many builds adding the x brace so I will be curious to hear what your...

2005 Mustang GT handling upgrade advice

First time poster and looking to see if I am missing any “low hanging fruit” in regards to using my 2005 GT with manual trans for casual autocross and a few track days a year (like Track Night in America). My primary focus would be on anything that is reasonably priced and has a significant...
