had the new forged motor in with 1700 miles and went to brenspeed to install 60# inj. and a 2.75 pulley and on the test drive brew a hole in the piston. So i am keeping my distance from them.
I am looking for a tuner. I live in central il. I am willing the travel for someone good......( dont say brenspeed i will have to keep my distance from them ).

the car was tuned by brenspped before before the shortblock change. after the change i used the same tune which was fine. i never got on it for 1000 miles ( i followed engine builders directions.) then went to kurgen motorsports and had the car tuned and ran fine even went to the track and ran...
i was told to start it let it idle 10 minutes then run it 1000 mikes with a high zinc oil. vr1. then its broke in.........but after 1700 miles and a brenspeed tune my jdm shortblock has a hole in the piston so maybe you should not follow my lead...
I ordered the 302E from JDM (2 reasons well known company and stock cr). I installed it myself. Then put my 1000 miles on it. Then took it to Brenspeed (2 reasons well known company and dynoed my car before) and after the dyno I went out on the test drive and at 1/2 throttle it started to ping...
I have talked to 3 tuners (all known on the forums) One said he didnt want to go past 19.5 on timing and the other 2 said dont go past 20. Also i wasnt making crasy power the last pull was 459hp and 480tq. before i installed the motor i had 454hp and 435tq. I think 93 should be able to handle...
