    That could be a provision for the factory lifting brackets from when the engine was installed at the plant.

    If you really want to do your own tuning, get a hptuners device. Once you know what to do, it is very easy, and there are plenty of tuning classes you can take on line. A lot of the tuning is trial and error though.

    Measure the gasket to be sure of the thickness. Personally I would aim for roughly 6mm clearance. That’s about 1/4 inch, so should be good.

    Don’t bother with a deep pan, it’s not needed and ground clearance becomes an issue. Use a stock crossmember from an 11-14 gt with a 6r80, it bolts right in.

    Coyote hasn’t has steel sleeves since 2018. The gen 3 & 4 coyote have coated bores. The block has to be sleeved if there is a failure.

    I’ve seen a lot more broken chain guides on 3v’s than I have on 2v or 4v engines though. I know in part, it’s because of the entire guide being plastic instead of steel backed, but the plastic tensioners definitely fail. Like you said though, it has to do with the gaskets blowing out though.
