You do have to remove the upper part (most) of the console. But overall getting the stereo out of these cars is REALLY easy. There's even a decent amount of space behind the player to run wiring.
The HARD part is when you decide to swap speakers and/or run wiring....that is a MAJOR PITA!
I have the same exact tires. Do not use these in the winter. When these tires even SMELL snow they lose all grip. They are Summer tires only. They've left me screwed numerous times with just a DUSTING (literally) of snow in a parking lot.

Mine did this a few weeks ago. I pulled over and couldn't find a thing. Drove off and it was gone. i think a rock got in between the rotor and caliber.

I installed the Eibach Pro Kit on mine with 20" wheels and it sits very nicely. I haven't yet aligned the front end but the camber is way off. The toe looks to be off too but that could be due to potholes.
I found some Steeda adjuster plates on EBay for $165. They are very high quality...
