I'm watching Street Outlaws and they had one in the race and I'm just curious how much power they make. I did a search so God forbid me if this is already on the forums. Also, I have seen one in town and it's pretty badass.

Here's an example on 93 octane and the same car on E85. There are others producing similarly mind-blowing numbers so these aren't a flash in the pan. That Gen 3 Coyote with its 12.0:1 compression ratio responds really well to E85.

the real pickup is with the 10r80 trans. the 15+ is a heavier car by 300 lbs or more. my 17gt put down 631 and ran a best of 11.01 et in qtr. my 14gt put down 545 on the same dyno and ran 10.82 best. both had similar 60ft times, ran in similar conditions and on the same track. The 17 weighed almost 400 pounds more is all I can equate to that.

Ford went to the 10r80 in 2018. thats when we started hearing about fbo cars even on 93 tunes running unbelievable times. lmr was one of the first to document their runs on this site as i recall and many including me called bs on their claims. it was just to good to be true......but the egg was on our face. add to this what dino mentions about the 12:1 increase i compression and adding e85 and you have a car running crazy numbers for what it is.do a transbrake and stall and you are making fi guys cry.

that said i would just as soon stay in an s197 setup. just not a fan of the foo foo surrounding the s550 platform. i drove my 17 less than any of my mustangs.

It appears they rev it to the moon to achieve more hp + tq.

And they really don't need to. Peak HP comes in at 7000rpm so they could stick to a 7500rpm rev limit. Those dyno runs were also performed with the stock Gen 3 intake manifold. A ported manifold would yield an additional 5-10rwhp/rwtq at the same rpm peaks (4600 for peak TQ and 7000 for peak HP).
There's absolutely no need to rev the Gen 3 past 7500rpm unless you perform further upgrades e.g. ported heads, bigger cams, Cobra Jet IM and at that point, you'd really want to swap in billet oil pump gears to make it safer to rev as high as 8000rpm.

Here's another on 93 octane:

Again, 7500rpm is all you need on a stock Gen 3 long block. You'll hear people say that the Coyote engine isn't a torque monster. I'd say that an engine displacing a mere 5.0L that puts down 400+rwtq from 2600-6600rpm on E85 (350+rwtq from 2500-7100rpm on 93 Octane) naturally aspirated definitely IS a torque monster. That it'll also put down 500+rwhp on E85 is just the icing on the cake. Ford knocked this one right out of the park and built an engine that absolutely loves to be corn fed!

My showroom stock 19GT PP1/A10 Base ran 11.92@117 with a 1.99 60’
I spent half a day at at the drag strip trying every mode, taking out the air filter, reducing the rear tires to 25psi E120173C-0604-444A-8EF5-56ECB555DC97.jpeg and in the end I used standard mode with no air filter and 26psi in the rear tires. The GT was 3828lbs and had a 1/4 tank of Costco 92…
