Moved to chat.

I guess you would like to 'know' and not 'no' what people think?

What was the problem with the driveshaft or the roto-joints?

Roto-Joints need to be adjusted all the time, every 150 miles or so, the drive line vibrates, I've tried angles from +3 to -2, 4.56 gears spin the dive line pretty fast...

When you say adjust do you mean use the spanner wrench to take up the slack in the delrin lining? Do they start making noise after about 150 then and that's how you know?

I installed the Shaftmasters in two of my cars and three other cars. None of them had vibration.

I put one on a friend's car and it's had vibration problems ever since. The suspension is otherwise stock minus fixed length LCA.

It may be installer error since we weren't able to follow torque specs on the rear bolts. Needed a crow's foot adapter to get a socket on there. Just not enough room otherwise.

I have a Shaftmaster. This April it'll be 3 years since I put it in. I've never had any vibration; I love it.

I installed my 3.5" shaftmasters DS about six months ago. Didn't notice any vibrations until I took it to a roadcourse and got it up to 120. Not sure if I'll mess with the pinion angle though as I don't notice any vibrations up to 100 mph.

Made a noticeable difference when I put it in and it was an easy 2 hour install. Call them up and ask if they offer a forum discount.

I have had two Shaftmaster driveshafts, zero problems. No vibration, easy to install and have good customer support. I would recommend them.

Has anybody who has issues with vibrations contacted them? I am sure they would be willing to help solve the problem if it is DS related. Super nice people to deal with.

I've been running the 3 1/2" Shaft Master with the adaptor plate for 3 years without any issues at all with a Saleen SC a 3.6 pulley, 450 rwhp. No vibrations up to 120 mph. Love the fact of no more driveline clunking between shifts. I think the newer versions of ShaftMaster's drive shafts are direct bolt on's No more adaptor plate to deal with. Great people to deal with.

You are correct, the new one I just got has no adapter plate, direct bolt in. It included the driveshaft and all the bolts, even included a thread locker and a socket for the bolts, if you didnt have 10mm socket for it.

Who includes even the socket for the bolts? :thumb2:

The 10mm are the bolts at the rear flange?

They probably included a socket because a standard isn't going to fit. When we put my friend's on his car we needed a crow's foot extension, which we didn't have, to get a regular socket on there. There just wasn't enough room otherwise.

Yep rear flange, nothing special about the 10mm socket, just included if you need it. Unless it is made of platnium :lol2:
