    2015 6 piston Brembos on a S197

Follow the link that Fasted posted. The OP in that thread and I had been communicating back and forth. The 2015 6 pistons DO work if you use 2013/14 GT500 rotors. Russell braided stainless lines are also needed. Other than that you're good to go.

Mine did the same thing but I just rigged up a standard battery cable end to work. I'll try to snap a pic tonight.

I'll pm you. Not worthy of a post as I only have one RH caliper left. lol

    Oil leak/spray

Are you using one of the plier type wrenches? If so, you've found your problem. Stop doing that. Like these: http://www.harborfreight.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/i/m/image_17544.jpg Only use a strap wrench or one with the cap that goes over the...

    2015 6 piston Brembos on a S197

Awesome, didn't know kelly was. Found the answer. 15 calipers will work without mount spacers but will require Russell lines and 13/14 GT500 rotors as the offset on the hat is different. And obviously wheels that will clear.

    2015 6 piston Brembos on a S197

I meant will the caliper bolt up with no modifications. I've found a set of new take off's local that include calipers, rotors, pads, lines, etc. I have a BNIB set of 2011 GT500 Brembo's that I've pieced together for a swap (GT500 4 pot Brembo calipers, AC Delco rotors, Hawk HPS pads...

    2015 6 piston Brembos on a S197

Does anyone know if the 2015 GT PP 6 piston Brembo calipers are a direct swap to the 2011-14 cars? A google search yields no definite results. Some say yes, some say no, some say a spacer is required to center the caliper on the rotor.

    Brembo Upgrade?

I have a brand new Gt500 4 piston Brembo Passenger side caliper I'd take $200 shipped for. I can give you a parts list and where to buy list to do the whole 4 piston swap with NEW parts for $850, including Hawk pads, Russell stainless lines, new rotors, etc.

Have a whining MT82? Take it in!

You mean a 1pc driveshaft? The MT82 is actually a good transmission once you do the supporting mods. Good shifter (MGW), Whiteline trans bushing, quality fluid (Amsoil MTG/MTF or Redline MTL) and a braided stainless clutch line. My first mt82 was replaced at 23k miles. I'm at 74k miles now and...

    transmission fluid mt6

I use MTG and love it. Like mentioned, in high temp climates it's perfect. If it's under ~50* out then it has to warm up for a few miles before shifting butter smooth again. I've sold a good bit of MTG, prob 2 dozen changes worth and have only had 1 person not like it, who lived more north and...

First time installing an SCT tune. Any advise?

What I've come to do is make sure the engine is fairly cool, not straight off a long drive or a pass at the track. Ensure that all accessories are off, AC/Radio/Lights/etc. Give a good 5-8 seconds after you change the key position before clicking OK on the SCT device to allow ample time for the...

    The Great Oil Debate

UnleashedBeast for Amsoil. Redline can be bought at a fair price on Amazon. Couldn't tell you the weights, I'm on my phone, just find them on manufacturer's site. I may be trying out the Amsoil Synchromesh next time I place an Amsoil order.

    The Great Oil Debate

You'll need 3 qts of fluid for each component. I run Amsoil MTG for the MT82 and love it. It depends on your climate though. Hot climate-MTG, colder climater-MTF or Redline MTL. As for the differential, Redline Heavy Shock Proof.

    MGW or Barton?

+1 with what Greg says. If you want me to go into further detail, just ask and I will. As far as the not on the local shelf deal....go on Amsoil's site and purchase a preferred customer membership. This gets you product at dealer cost. Then buy 2-3 oil changes worth of product to keep...

    MGW or Barton?

+1....I wouldn't say that I'm biased because I sell it, I'd say I'm biased because it's a top-of-the-line product. The best around. For your climate I'd run Amsoil MTG transmission fluid. Stop running Mobil, especially that light a fluid. Switch to a true synthetic such as Amsoil Sig...

    MGW or Barton?

MGW. 30% reduction in throw vs Barton's 40%. The guys at MGW supposedly did extensive research and testing to see what the safest max reduction in throw was and that's what they came up with. The MGW replaces the entire assembly, lower shifter box included. The MGW includes the bracket, the MGW...

    MT-82 shifting woes

If you're in a colder climate, I'd skip the Amsoil MTG and go with Amsoil MTF or Red Line MTL. I run MTG but am in a hotter climate. There isn't a fluid different than the factory recommended that's recommended by another company, partially because of legal reasons. Amsoil used to list MTG on...

The Hoopty is a Whiney Bitch.

I'm assuming you have 3.73's? They're problematic too. They put 4 sets in my car before getting it to quiet down. They still whine too but I said screw it. I don't think you'll have any whine whatsoever with the 3.31's. Quality control has supposedly been improved. Supposedly crap-poor...
