    Vibration after diff rebuild

Neither axle had those weights. It's pretty much vibration free as far as I could try (90mph). But I still get a rumble strip like vibration if I give it some power in 3rd gear and low revs. Also noticed the driveshaft hitting the tunnel on some bumps, probably because of how much nose up the...

    Vibration after diff rebuild

Update: checked pinion angle. Which was perfect and I figured unchanged since I only swapped axles and pushed a new oem rubber bushing in the diff. I can't get a good reading on the transmission side, everytime its something between 1 and 3 degrees pointing down. The pinion was 2.5 up when I...

    Vibration after diff rebuild

Ill have to try popping it in neutral tomorrow. So far I did rotate the ds at the pinion 3 times now, cant do 90 degrees with the DSS shaft. Only thing I can try is remove the DSS spacer from the pinion to see if theres any dirt between that.

    Vibration after diff rebuild

I had a spare axle rebuild by a knowledgable guy who does diff and gearboxes for a living. He did my 95 GT years ago too. Full rebuild with new clutch packs, every bearing new and a fresh set of 3.73s (ford racing). Prior I had a stock axle with 3.55s, all new control arms, new DSS driveshaft...

    2005 GT driveshaft

Yes thats the one. Another MOCGB member is interested too though, I need to find a box at work monday first. I guess it will fit your car unless saleen used a different gearbox, which they only did on the extreme I think.

    05-09 Carbon Fiber Dash

Did you take all the panels off?

    05-09 Carbon Fiber Dash

Wrap it with 3M 1080 vinyl in carbon. Used it in my old E92 and looked very good. I used 3M brushed metal for the mustang because a metal dash was more historically correct imo. What have you done to your mustang today?

With too much time on my hands in this quarantine, I did a full polish and wax.

Axle Back Questions and Deafening Cabin Noise

Addind resonators or sounddeadening is all fine and dandy, but not taking away the cause. Get borla, corsa or FRPP axlebacks to begin with.

Looks great, I have the same!

What have you done to your mustang today?

Steeda adjustable upper and GT500 lowers and a DSS aluminium driveshaft. Great mods combined, really tighten up the rear end! My stock carrier bearing was pretty shot at just 50k miles.

New(ish) to group - From UK

Great looking car! Question; do you pass the MOT sniffer test with the longtubes and cams? Brenspeed told me that it probably wouldnt pass since my longtubes and highflow cats already put me on the ragged edge of passing.

    Cat or not?

I believe the shelby GT came with the GTA muffler, slightly louder then stock. Bullitts had the GTB muffler. Both are good mufflers for someone wanting a mild exhaust with no drone

    Lunati VooDoo #21270700 Camshafts

This thread is a good read and a wealth of knowledge, as these online boards are supposed to be. Tip of the hat from Europe!

Preventive maintenance until moving to Europe

Fuel, air and oil filter, sparkplugs etc are cheap to order from europe. Things get expensive because of tax calculated over value and shipping. So anything big/heavy and/or expensive is worth packing. For instance a $8 filter might be $12 including shipping and tax. No biggie. A $500...

pros and cons on removing cats

The corsa's are raspy because they dont have any packing material, just reflecting baffles that cancel out noise and drone. I added some small resonators to make them less tinny with the longtubes.

pros and cons on removing cats

I was running longtubes offroad H and corsa sports and it was stupid loud. Way too much noise for 300hp, I felt like a honda civic driver. Very raspy and metallic sounding. The cats take the edge of the volume, give it more of a deep tone and fixed most rasp. Now it only smells on cold start...

pros and cons on removing cats

Raspy and way too loud exhaust, and the smell bothered me at the lights or in traffic. Put my high flows back on after couple weeks.

    Aftermarket Recaro seats?

Great, thanks for the reply man! Do you have any pictures of them installed? Im pretty short and small, so width will be fine. Is there any way of using spacers to get them a little higher up?
