    strut tower brace info

Horseshit. I know tons of S197s on real rear coilovers without any issues. Please stop spreading false information. The rear shock towers are very very strong.

    Unpredictability

OP- There's lots of good info in this thread, but from personal experience, it sounds like good quality LCA's are needed in your immediate future. Don't be surprised if your bushings are torn on your stock ones when you replace them. Might as well do Relocation brackets while you're in there...

    Supercharger for Road Racing

Very nice numbers, but Very peaky. Where's the torque? Only 378 lbs/ft ? And all the way up at 5600? I can only speak for the Saleen S/C, but it makes 400+lbs/ft from 2500-6000 rpms. The flexibility from a flat torque curve like this cannot be denied. It's much easier to rocket out of...

That's great, but Good luck finding e85 when you're not near the farming in the middle of the country.

    Supercharger for Road Racing

To the OP- If you still want to give it a shot, the Rotrex kit from Forced Air Performance looks like ALOT better option than the ProCharger. More compact, more torque, less heat, easier install. What's not to like? I guess I'm just going to fall into the third group that keeps working...

    Supercharger for Road Racing

I always really liked the Rotrex kit. It's a super easy install, if you just want something to try out. However, I thought Forced Air Performance went out of business?? Their site hasn't been updated since 2008.

    Supercharger for Road Racing

Heat soak is definitely an issue. I'm going to try a larger intercooler next season to see if I can get more than 2 good laps before the IAT's get above 165*. When that happens, the car looses a lot of power, and it feels barely faster than my old 97' Cobra. That's shifting at ~ 6300rpms...

    Watts link or struts/springs??

H&R race springs have a decent rate for hard driving duty, but are a little low for some...

    Whiteline Sway Settings?

I like my Whiteline front bar on full STIFF... But I do have a very different spring setup than you. I'd try that first, as you can always dial it back a little as you get more comfortable with the car.

Rear End and Gear Questions for Track and DD

You rang??? :thumb2: I will make a thread on the Wavetrac, but I wanted to give it some more track time. I had a bunch of stuff get in the way of my track time this year and mechanical failure from a botched Wavetrac installation really did me in. I'll paraphrase... there were less...

Roll Cages Road Race/Autocross/Driving Days vs Drag Race

You can just leave the rear panels out while the roll bar is bolted in... then put them back when the track season is over...

    Rear swaybar help ?

I'll say it again.... Unless you're actually RACING, where you need every .01 sec, the weight argument is invalid. You'll never notice the weight difference in a daily car, and even in just open tracking for fun, or light competition, using a heavier (solid) bar won't cost you anything. I...

    Eibach Multi Pro R2

In my experience you can use stiffer rear springs than that if you have lowered your rear roll center with a Watts link or PHB (that does that). I'm at 450f/250r (rears are true coilovers) right now, and it was too much rear roll rate without the Watts link. I had to remove the rear sway bar...

    Eibach Multi Pro R2

Sam, you only have part of the story. I have first hand experience with the Cortex suspension, but as I understand it, they are similar to the GC and Griggs. The 'custom' Koni's vary on a per order basis, depending on the needs for that particular cars setup. You can order them with...

    Eibach Multi Pro R2

Vorshlag's plates are certainly very nice, but there's nothing wrong with the MM plates, and they have THOUSANDS of hard proven track miles. You really can't go wrong with either. Believing that Eibach wouldn't change it unless it was better just shows how clueless you are. This isn't rocket...

    Eibach Multi Pro R2

^ THIS! If anything, the 5.0 + 6spd is heavier, but certainly not enough to warrant different springs! If it were me, I'd buy new springs and Maximum Motorsports plates from MM, and be done with it already. Maximum Motorsports has great customer service and intimate experience with...

    Eibach Multi Pro R2

I concur. Eibach's customer service clearly has no idea what they are talking about. Unless special ordered, the kit should come with 350f/250r. http://www.maximummotorsports.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=309_342_321&products_id=1384 or...

PSI for rear 315 Hoosier R6's?

Wow. Didn't realize the R6 was that different from the Conti Grand Am scrubs... I start at 31psi cold, and like the feel at around 38psi hot. Less than that and the outside of the tires are getting too hot and wearing quickly.

    Vorshlag 2011 Mustang 5.0 GT - track/autocross/street Project

Any exhaust that dumps under the car will be deafening to the driver on long track visits. It depends on the drivers hearing, but it's still going to be extremely loud inside the car. A few pounds in rear pipes aren't enough to warrant the added fatigue from the noise. I may be more sensitive...
