2007 GT Stock except headers, midpipe, catback, and tune.

All mods were done about 2 years ago and the car ran fine. Excellent daily driver. Since last month is has been a total problem child and pulled a new one on me today.

Drove the car to work last night (12 miles mix city / highway ) no problem, runs as well as it ever has. Drive it home today and get maybe 1 mile from the house and notice weird sound or feel in the exhaust, like a rapid pop. Make one of the last turns to the house and about 1/4 mile from home it falls on its face and dies and will not catch even though it cranks with the key. What should I be looking at as the culprit? I would have said the alt but the lights never dimmed and the radio was working fine. Oh yeah it's not throwing a cel either.

I am about to set the thing on fire out of frustration or sell it for a truck if I can get it running.

I bought it used in '10. I have never done the filter. Got just under 60k on it.

I did a little reading and I got it the last 200 yards into my drive way finally but feathering the gas pedal and starting it in nuetral then slipping it into drive. Wasn't pretty and she sounds like shit. I am kinda wondering if it blew a plug from the sound its making. Engine's too hot at the moment and I am too annoyed to go pull the cops off and check them.

Would a blown out plug cause it to die and not start like that without feathering the gas?

will it only run when feathering the throttle? If it was a plug or coil out it would still run but just be rough idling. Do you have a SCT scan tool?

I have an SCT tuner that can pull codes but dont have a laptop to datalog with. It will only run stay on if I stay in the throttle say 1/4 or more-ish. It will not stay on at all if I don't stay on the gas pedal. Could it be a MAF issue? I have been reading up that last couple hours lol.

Does the car idle okay? If not unplug the maf and see if it will idle.

Im leaning towards a fuel issue.

Unplugged the MAF and after a couple cranks it will idle but I only let it go for a minute because it didnt sound healthy at all. Lots of racket from the passenger side of the motor I think. Kinda hard to tell.

Crappy cell phone vid coming. The clicking in the very first couple of seconds is not related, its something in the AC system. That tapping doesnt sound good ...

That's what i was afraid of and so not what i wanted confirmed. I guess it's time to get the Mach street legal again so I can get it tagged and inspected. Then I guess I get to learn about the 3v engine hands on damnit. It was the Mach I was supposed to have to worry about breaking not the barely modded gt*le sigh*

That sucks man, it's very rare I hear anything bad about this motors with basic mods. I suppose I'm a ticking bomb now that I have a turbo.
