Thanks everyone. Riding motorcycles for years trains you to always look in the mirrors for danger approaching. It's amazing how fast you can react when you have to. I tried to stay off pain meds today so I took my 08 GT for a drive. My wife had to drive back, pushing the clutch in was getting painful. Had to go back on the meds this afternoon.

Being a truck driver myself and knowing consequences for not paying attention I can tell you they will not be driving any time soon if ever. So one less idiot off the road.
Just relax and take it easy you'll be back to driving the stang in no time

Holy hell you are lucky! When I was reading your story, I couldn't help but think of car chase scene in The Bourne Ultimatum when he leans over towards the passenger seat and wraps his arm in the seat-belt just before the crash. Simply unbelievable that you're up and moving after something like that.

Glad you made it, sucks for that woman and her family, and the driver of the semi will have to live with this. What a terrible thing to happen.
