Yea man I've got it. I love it. I put in the barton bracket when I put mine in. Reverse is a little weird since you don't have to push down on it anymore. Also plan on getting the roush shift boot cause I couldn't get my stock to look worth a damn but mine is a base model gt.

That is what I'm saying. I'd brought it up to make the OP aware of it. Not trying to persuade either way. Personally I love the Hurst look. I'm just concerned about possible syncro issues.

EDIT: Sorry. I need to slow down and read . I was going by what Hurst said what the original intent was.

It has been thrown out there that 40% is too much reduction on the MT 82 and could cause damage. Read the 1st post.

The Hurst website says the shifter is 27% reduction I think.

Anyway after looking at the videos on the MGW site, it's clear the MGW is a BIG jump in quality and absolutely well worth an extra 100 bucks or so.

I wish someone would make a nice black leather shift knob like I had in my T-Bird SC. Just not into the billiard ball look too much....

Hurst in on sale dirt cheap if you're still interested:

I plan on going with MGW if my transmission stays decent.

That's a good price and really dig the old-school look. Hurst arm and knob on a MGW??? Hmmm...

I had the hurst in my 11' 5.0 before I traded it in. I actually thought the Hurst was a huge improvement over the factory shifter.

Yeah probably, but I'd rather throw the cash at the MGW....
