Now that the weather is starting to get cold I've noticed more people are switching to an aftermarket trans fluid. If you're using MTL and/or RP 75/90 how are you liking it and what are the temps in your area? I've got the stock fluid (pre-TSB) in my car ATM and am wanting to switch. Just want to do it once and done, heh.

Im using Redline MTL and its been great, very smooth, quiet but I do still have a slight syncro nibble on the cold 1-2 shift

Eh, the synchro whine doesn't bother me. I installed the barton bracket + steeda shifter and it got a little more noisier. Coming from Sn95's this thing is whisper quiet. But thanks for the opinion on the MTL, glad a northern guy chimed in due to the fact you're already experiencing freezing temps.

The GM or Pennzoil Syncromesh has been a long time favorite for Ford manual transmissions. It really smoothed out my 3650 compared to the factory fluid, changed it at 20K miles.

This^^^^^ I just shift from 1 to 3rd until it warms up, then everything is silky smooth again. Use only the MTL or the Royal Purple stuff.
