The programmer will work with any car, however the tunes loaded on the programmer are pcm specific.

Btw how are those nt555's sticky tires? They're just a street tire.

That is what I thought. Honestly, I think the tuner would be locked to the vehicle also with the stock tune on it. I am not sure but that is usually the way it works unless it has been unlocked.

the tuner is unlocked. I had to flash it back to stock to trade the car in.

not yelling or upset, I just want this to be very clear, tuner is unlocked ( unmarried ), with 5 unlocks remaining

If I am not mistaken though, it still has your stock tune in it which means it is locked to your car. Not trying to be argumentative but I am interested and want to understand this. Once you use a tuner, it is locked to your car with the stock tune. Unless you have had SCT unlock it, it will be locked. Again, I am not sure and maybe someone that knows for sure can chime in here.

I don't understand how it can have five open spots when you say you have three tunes. Maybe the newer SCT's have more options.

Sorry if I am asking a lot of questions but just trying to understand. Thanks

Dude the tuner is UNLOCKED! When you flash the car back to stock it removes the stock tune from the tuner making it possible to use the tuner on another car. The SCT tuners can hold up to three custom tunes along with the stock tune. Now quit fucking up the OP's sale thread, he has told you the tuner is unlocked and can be used on another car.

You don't need to be rude. I am interested, that is why I am asking. I have heard others complain on here that someone said the tuner was unlocked and it wasn't. I didn't know once you went back to stock, it unlocked the tuner. That is what I was asking. I will just call SCT to confirm. Geez.

He's right, once you go back to stock the tuner is unlocked and can be used on another car.

The issue arises when someone wants to sell thier car to an individual with the tune still on the car, and they get left with a locked handheld, and then try and sell it as such. This one is unlocked. You can go to the device info screen and see that it says "UNMARRIED"...

No worries about the questions, I can tell you're interested and stressing about the legitimacy of the parts, I do the same thing looking @ used stuff. I get off work @ 7pm central time, just hit me up on my cell around then If you still have any questions ( #'s in the first post, this thread )

Tell your friends, neighbors and relatives. pretty sure the wheels will fit most mustangs, if not all, as well
