I'm on the fence I have 3.73 gears with o/r x pipe, brenspeed tune, jlt cold air and drag stars 17x9.5 with m/t drag radial 275/40/17 .I get almost to the end of the 1/4 and have to switch to 5th to finish, and was wondering would I benefit from 3.31's I see a lot of people having good luck and seem to be happy with them. opinions needed

I have the same problem. On low DA days I'm on the limiter in 4th. I have a friend who wants to swap his 3.31 for my 3.73, but I'm a touch apprehensive. I went to a slightly taller tire to help compensate, and it's a little better. But I'd still like it to be a little better. I only have a FRPP tune and am still on the stock limiter.

My '11 GT was a Brembo car with 3.73 gears. I ran a 28" tall d/r (275/50/17 M&H) and went through the traps at 116-117 mph in 4th gear. Limiter was raised in the tune to 7500 rpm's, but I was shifting at 7200 rpm's.

Taller tires are cheaper than a gear swap, and the torque multiplication of the 3.73's vs the 3.31's should be enough reason to keep them.

I just looked at my time slips my 1/8 mph is down from. 89 mph to 82-83 mph I think I've got a clutch issue, I had a problem with my clutch pedal sticking to the floor going in to 4th a while back. I since removed helper spring and issue seems to be fix , that's the only reason I can see loss of mph, kinda of wierd still trapping 114 in the 1\4 with losing mph in the 1/8 and now all of a Sudden hitting the rev limiter. I purchase a McLeod rxt ,I plan on installing next week , glad I glanced at my slips .I had plan on going with a et drag slick which is about .5 taller and supposed to work better with stick cars
