You might be able to talk me down a bit. Cash talks! Shoot me a PM if you're interested. If you want, I could pull this motor/trans and lower the price some.

not this time. i just dropped 2k on a 6060 and a house is more important to buy than a truck that needs lots of work.

bump for you.

1953 would have had a flathead. 1954 was the first year of the Y-block in the F100. That said I would not put it past ford to slip a Y-block into the '53's right near the end of the production run.

I wish I had cash, because I've always had a thing for these F100's.

Thanks for that, I'm honestly not too sure which engine is in it. I've been trying to figure out some distinguishable markings that might give me a clue, but I haven't found anything. Maybe you can help me out, here's a picture of the motor.

I want it but can't due to priorities. I'm one major purchase away from alimony and child support. ;) GLWS!

I can work out a payment plan, I'm flexible! Doesn't have to be a major purchase, just think of it as a monthly minor purchase. ;)

That is definitely a Y-block and it looks like it's been in there for a lonnnnnnng time.

I'll bet late '53 production or mis-titled, which happened from time to time back then. 239 was the displacement until '56.

Much appreciated. Believe it or not, I saw a video of this motor running, taken about 6 months ago from the previous owner. Needless to say, I was a skeptic when he said it ran. Original owner drove the truck from California to Arkansas, let it sit under a shed for 20 years, then the previous owner bought it about 6 months ago.

Figured I'd have some interest in this thing... If the price is unrealistic, make me an offer, I need to move this thing.
