I used to have my 2-step set at 4500. I had it like that for a few months. Recently i switched it to 2500. Well, ever since I lowered the rpms the 2-step is engaging at like 1800 and it will get stuck there and sound like it's misfiring, sputtering, low on power. Then I'll hit the throttle a few times and it finally gets unstuck and goes to 2500 where it should and it sounds perfect. No misfire, no sputtering, all normal. Any idea why this would happen? Other than that the car still runs exactly the same.

I'd try setting it @ 3000, check it there, then try 3500, and finally go back to 2500 and see if it's still not right. Probably just a glitch... did you re-set it using the software via laptop, or did you use the button on the WOTbox?

Oops. Forgot to say that it's the MSD 2-step. It has dials on the module itself to set the rpms. Kinda like an aftermarket tach or shift light. I'll raise the rpms and see what it does. Thanks bro.

Mine does that too if it's set at 2600 or below. I never have it set that low so it really doesn't bother me.

I see. I guess I'll just do as you did and leave it higher than 2600. Thanks man.

No problem. I'd say if it really bugs you email or call MSD. I started a thread in their tech forums and no one ever answered my question...
