Hi Everyone, Totally new here, so hopefully I'm following all the rules with this post.
Looking for some help. My Son and I just bought a 2006 Mustang GT with around 114k miles.
Car runs really good in general and gets up and goes nicely when you get into the throttle. Has a JLT Intake with a BDX/SCT stock tune to compensate for the intake.
One major problem is that under low speed, low RPM (around 1000), under a slight load, the engine starts clanking and gets a bit worse as RPM increases and then goes away with more RPM. (See video). This doesn’t always happen, only under the right conditions.
Wasn't sure how to add a video, so here is link to a post I did on Reddit with a video of the car making this this noise. I posted it on R/Mechanicadvice but not much help so far: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicAd.../?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
Anyone know where I should be looking to start? Did a datalog with a blue driver and noticed a spike in fuel pressure from 38/39 to 60 is for a short time and the timing advance cylinder 1, drops down to around 8/9 at the same time as the noise starts happening.
I could log more data, just not exactly sure what parameters are important.
