i like the design of it, & sure alot of people will change their minds as well & love the car.. this story comes every new generation mustang is made... nothing new...

but im not liking the 315 hp at all, dissappointed... well they dont seem enough for the new camaro numbers or even the SRT 8 challenger...

but i heard its less in weight ??

info on that ??

& i decided to keep my s197 as well, & wait for the '11 (there are rumors a bigger engine is set for the 2011 model, perhaps a 6.2 or 5.0)

Nope, the GT is 35lb's heavier. I'll have to find out where I found it, but I remember reading about it somewhere...

It looked better on tv than it did in pictures and i think it will look even better in person. The guy mentioned a 400 hp supercharger and 500 hp supercharger option through ford racing so i am wondering if forged internals are in the near future for them to offer warranty covered 500 hp supercharger packages.

What a lame corporate dog and pony show. I have seen better "reveals" at Burger King new product roll-outs in Las Vegas.

""Mustang also features an industry-first Induction Sound Tube (IST), which enhances the driving experience by piping the sound of the induction system directly into the passenger compartment."

Yep - they pipe the sound of the air intake into the cabin. WTF.

That is simply retarded!

TMS is so full of psychotic fanboys that it makes me sick. You say anything besides "The 2010 mustang is uber! I am buying now." And the nazis jump all over you. No wonder I don't go there much any more.

I saw a brand new Challenger at the local Dodge dealer in Marysville. I'd hump that all day long before buying a 2010 Mustang or a new Camaro but then I am all about the 60's muscle cars and the Challenger and 05-09 Mustangs fit that bill!

It did gain a little weight, most likely from more emissions and sensors. As far as the looks, when I saw it on TV it didn't look as bad as some of the pictures and may even look better in person, BUT not enough for me to give up mine for it. My next purchase down the road may be an F150 or F250 to tow my Mustang with.

:2cents: It has some features that I liked and some not so Much.
There was not a big change from my 05 (Tin and CAI, 15HP), not such a big Deal.

I really thought the Speed Channel Show was half an hour Too Long. :la::la::la:

well you know what this means right ? if its built on the same platform you should be able to do a direct swap on the motor tranny when the 11's come out and slap in the much awaited 5.0/6.2 but i was doing some reading supposedly the 6.2 will just be for the f150's ect. they will prob go back to the 5.0's in the stangs , hell the 6 banger seems really intresting twin-turbo v6 with 300hp

94-98 are the SN95 and the 99-04 are called "New Edge". LAK3RS is right.

I dont care if you use the cheerleader term and call them new edges, the 99-04's are SN-95's. Same damn chassis.

What the fuck is a "cheerleader" term? LAK3RS and I are not talking about chassis. We are talking about body changes. Therefore, the SN95 and New Edge are different and the reason for giving it a different name. Ford gave it that name, not me.
Sorry.. the so-called New Edge is still an SN95 no matter how you slice it or dice it. The SN-95 moniker is the platform, and that never changed. Same reason 15 years worth of truly ugly Mustangs were called Fox, regardless of what the body looked like. There is virtually no similarity between a 79 and a 93... but they are still Foxes (as are some other non-Mustang Ford cars).

+1 on the Challenger and 05-09 Mustangs... both are awesome looking cars! :thumb:

As far as the 2010 goes, I would not say it was ugly. It's still a better looking car than 99% of what's on the market, but Ford did go a little Euro for my tastes. Almost looks like a "New Edge S197" to me.

Anyway, since the platform and basic powertrain are virtually unchanged, the 2010+ Mustang owners will (and should) have a home here at S197Forum for their tech and performance needs. Luckily for us, this forum isn't so much about looks as it is performance, so I will welcome tham all to the site. Hell, there are many current body kits and cosmetic mods that you couldn't pay me to put on my car, but that doesn't stop me from internet-socializing with the guys that own them!

Long live the S197!!

I for one like the new look, but I've always liked different designs. and body styling aside, I think we can all agree the new Kona Blue metallic is sexy, I love it.

they offered that option at my dealership when i got my car. If the dealership installs it then they wont void the warranty... but then again that's with there tune

The sequel just aint better then the original..Like Smokey and the Bandit.. Ford did such a great job on the 05-09's, it will be next to impossible to make it better..I hoped they would have went more retro to what we already have, maybe go with more of a BOSS look, but they didnt and I dont like it at all...

Other than the rear bumper I love it!!!!!!!

Hope they do like a special edition Mach 1 with a 5.0 3v though.

And yes, the v6 Camaro will get spanked by the GT.

lol...thats pretty gay isn't it?

But I did just catch that 3.73's are now an option. I bet this car is probably quicker than mine. Also I like how you can run any grade of fuel you want and the tune responds accordingly.
