I thought I would post up acouple of pictures of my friend's car with 2011 Shelby GT500 tires and wheels.

He won these at this year's Woodward Dream Cruise. 19 inch in the front and 20 inch in the rear. FORGED wheels and tires for FREE! Well not totally free, he paid $30 for the tickets. Lucky SOB!!!

Love the tires. Everything seems better, turn in, grip in corners, very stable at hig speed. I was surprised that even the ride quality is improved.

I was also surprised that I can't tell from driving that the tires are staggered seems very neutral to me.

I don't autocross or road race so they work for me.

My car has 08 Bullitt springs, koni sports, frpp swaybars, GT500 LCA's.

I know it would look better lowered but after several attempts my old body just can't deal with a lowered car here in Metro Detroit.

Those are the Gen2 GY tires on from the 2011 GT500 with the PP. They are quite a bit stickier than the non PP GT500 tires, and they are responsible for most of the handling improvements of the 2011 GT500 w/PP over the 2010 GT500 (other than the extra ~100 lbs of weight we 2010 GT500 owners carry around)

I'm hoping that the aftermarket pick up on these like the '10 ones.

FRPP usually starts selling them after a while. I want to be able to buy the 20" gen 2 GY F1 for my car, which is 95% of the handling improvement of the PP-equipped GT500 over the standard GT500.
