I'm hoping that's all that is wrong with my car. The real test will be when I drive it everyday. Then and only then will I believe I had a bad pcv. If it starts smoking again than I know for sure it has other problems. For now im going to enjoy it. Btw I still think ford and its engineers suck.

Are you sure that this PCV is actually working without being connected to a PCM? Haven't seen one in my life but looks like PCM has an strategy to open and close the PCV, did you checked is open? Hope I am wrong but my guess is that maybe is just closed and the issue is still there, hope I am wrong.

I'm not sure I follow. It does have vacuum going into the catch can so I'm assuming it is opening.

I only say this because it has an electric connection right?

Vacuum comes from the intake, not from the valve cover.

Have you checked it is open? if it is close, what opens it?

The electric connection it had was for the heater that only the Gt500 uses. The stock 5.0 pcv doesn't have a heater.

The wiring diagram shows that as a solenoid, not as a heater, as the purge valve or any other electronic valve. I would check if it is open, I may be wrong and hope I am but I think you just plugged the PCV with that valve.

The ford manual shows it as a heater. No idea for what, but other have done this with success. I will look at it tomorrow though and send you a pm.

What made me think about this is how is reflected in the wiring (not as a heater like in the O2 sensors) as a solenoid. The PCV is just like a check valve with a preloaded spring, if it use a heater, maybe it is to heat the spring so to have preload control. Like a thermostat where temp controls spring preload and allows temp control of the valve.

If this is the case, I estimate that the spring preload is quite bigger than the stock 5.0 valve, maybe the GT500 comes with it because of it being supercharged and having higher crankcase pressures.

Then, without the heater function it will keep the valve closed and there is no ventilation, so at the end, being a solenoid or a heater you may be just plugging the PCV system with it and masking your blow-by issue, if there is any.

If jewc75 is still getting oil into his catch can, I would imagine the GT500 PCV is working well enough. Also, in the past I've noticed that if a PCV is stuck closed on a high CR engine, it tends to force oil out around the mount grommet in the valve cover. The higher revving the engine, the more this tends to happen.

Perhaps the GT500 PCV has an electrical solenoid on it that is, under certain conditions due to boost, actuated by the PCM to open it and relieve pressure. I don't know without knowing more about it. But if the schematics show a solenoid, then I'd be willing to bet it's a forced opening solenoid due to F/I conditions the N/A Coyote will not see. I could be wrong though. It has happened a few times before. lol

Good luck jewc. I hope this has cured your issues. From the beginning when you described this whole thing, I thought it was PCV related.

Just an FYI but the 2013's use 5W-50!!!!!

I would at least switch to 5W-30 at a minimum for your car!!!!!

That's a Boss engine not a regular 5.0.

If he has excessive amounts of blowby he should be able to unscrew the oil cap and raise it slightly (not all the way, the timing chains sling oil) and see if blowby is present.

After what I saw today I won't need the cobra. I'm going to start looking for an auto though.

Nice to meet you and yours today. I apologize I couldn't spend more time. We got busy with the CAI testing and trying to squeeze as many runs in as possible.
