Take it back again, there is TSB for the idler/tensioner making a ticking sound once car is warmed up.

where did u read or see that the dealer is not aware of this.

did the dealer preform the TSB????

since you didn't mention it... I'd bet it was not preformed, many dealers are not aware of a TSB that maybe out.

Yeah that's the noise that's fixed by one of the tsb's that's out. That would be the tensioner tsb for the driver's side head.

i had a tick.....ended up being bad crank bearings. no noticeable loss of power, and a slight tick...only under load. Got worse when ac was on. Got a new engine out of it. So my car got a new engine when the car had 45k miles. They first performed the tensioner, chain tsb...but it ended up being the main bearings.

The tsb for the tensioner has been out since at least 1 year. My car has a tick between 2-3 k rpm's, only does it once motors warmed up and its worst after oil changes etc. No loss of power, engine runs ok, and no cels. I really doubt ford knew what it was when they were replacing people's motors for bad engine bearings. Now they're saying its a bad wrist pin in cyl 2. Again it really all depends what type of noise you have.

Op your noise sounds like the tensioner issue which is a known issue and is no big deal. I don't want you to think your new car has any of these other issues. Also, this motor being an ohc design will make some different noises but that are normal for this engine.
