That's a strange one, cobras had a steel crank but must have still shown failures in testing. I wonder if the 5.4-8 crank is larger - if these anecdotes of failure on 2011+ 5.0's are correct. I know the GT's broke cranks, but they fixed that by merely adding a fillet. You'd think they'd do the same on the 5.0.
