Hope it's in the right section. Did a few searches and didn't think get an exact answer.

Does anyone know if 18x9 Saleen wheels from AM will fit Brembos on 14 GT's? Will they clear the brakes or will it require spacers?

Why not contact AM and ask them? :wtf:

New guy, not looking for smart ass remarks.

I've already searched here and other various forums. AM cannot tell me for sure if they will because the offset if for a 05-10 GT (Which happens to be the same according to their site for 99-04 Mustangs)

Considering there are a lot of members here with new 5.0's and Brembo's with Aftermarket wheels, I was asking in hopes they could shed some light with first hand experience?

That cool pumpkin?

I may be "newer" then you, but even I know we have a tires and wheels section. :naughty1:

Not to be a dick, but it might have helped if you explained in your first post that you already contacted AM too? I would assume AM could at least tell you the backspacing on the wheels and you could use that as a starting point to see if they will clear? Or if they are exact Saleen replicas maybe try contacting Saleen for more info on that particular style of wheel?

Fully aware of where things go. There is a good reason I posted here as there is more traffic in this section with 5.0 owners.

AM cannot confirm they will fit as they stated they've never tested these wheels. Also, they are replicas and are not made by Saleen. If anything, they are made by a company in China. Considering the time difference and the efforts of tracking down such a company, it would be easier to ask here since a lot of members swap their wheels.

I know of the backspacing, but, not ALL wheels that are 18X9 fit/clear Brembos.

Mods - Please feel free to move/delete/chime in if necessary.

PS - I've done my homework and I only post up threads when I am asking for help. Luckily, I am not one of those idiots that would post "what kind of polish to use" or "what intake is better" in the tech section.

American Muscle says that a known exception for fitment of that wheel is the GT500. Therefore, they will not clear Brembos.

Thanks guy!

I cannot wait. It's been over 3 years since I've had the 05, so, I think it is time for an upgrade.

Truly looking forward to getting into a 5.0

Might start out small with Axle-backs and leave it at that for a while.

I like it better. Gray is 10x easier to keep clean. The transmission is a tank. I do miss manual shifts once in a while. It feels completely different than the kenne bell 06. The old car was a bit faster but this one has more potential and no need for clutch jobs or tranny swaps. The sync is awesome to have too.
