Yeah, I'm not crazy about Henessey's work, and looking at the 458 that they have worked on, it seems their mods didn't make an astronomical difference. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Koenigsegg, and the like are the cars you really can't do much more with out of the factory (vs. something like the Mustang). Out of the box, they are quite the machines.

How many of those are using a flat plane crank though?

Mostly Ferrari's are flat plane still. Lambo's are 60* DOHC V12's. Koenigsegg's Agera motor is loosely based off the Modular motors.

"airspace between the cross-drilled iron rotor and the aluminum hat. Those little rods you see are bronze-coated pins. The rotor itself slides on those as it heats and cools. In addition, the design significantly reduces heat transfer to the wheel bearings behind the rotor hats. This is genuinely cool tech. Even the manufacturing process is fascinating: the rotor is machined, then the pins are inserted, then the aluminum rotor hat is cast into place."

Neat!

So when do the ordering banks open up for the GT350? Same day as the other Mustangs?

Very doubtful. 2016 EB/V6/GT production starts 8.3.15, while 2016 GT350 production starts in the 4th quarter (Oct-Dec), several months after the other Mustangs, so ordering likely is staggered, as well.

Well, there is the case of the few 2015 GT350s that Ford said would be released.

Nitpicking but don't think the white bolsters is a good idea, if you're not super careful getting in/out that is where you'd touch/drag (see lot of cars with worn or torn bolsters)

For what the car is made for, you would want them there. I'm wishing I had Recaro's or some kind of side bolsters now (unless you are talking about the color itself as an issue).

The white along the edge of the bolster, not having big bolsters to keep you in place

Looks nice. I get the issue with where the white is; however, how many of these cars are going to get many miles on them to wear out the seats anyway?
